  1. Oops forgot to say, I was at an 18# loss before I gained the 6. I am very happy with that part.
  2. I am confused... I hope I am not doing something wrong. I go to the dr tomorrow and I will show him myfitnesspal app with the journal of my days. I am getting 54 ish proteins in a day. I am getting 50 oz of fluids in. My calories stay around 300 to 400. I am on puree foods at 18 day post op. I am getting all my vitamins in. After gaining 3 lbs on Saturday, I walk a slow pace for 30min on Sunday. And drank more fluids. I wake up Sunday and gained 3 more pounds. Is this normal??? I have heard you can go up or down a pound or two but a 6 pound gain scares me at only 18 day PO. Please give me advise. Thanks Amanda
  3. Butterthebean and Cheri, thank you!! I needed to hear this. I am putting the scale away and only weighing once a week. I know the weight will come off by how little I am taking in. I use the myfitnesspal app, so I know that I am getting all that I am suppose to get in per my dr. Now I will put the scale away and let my sleeve work! Thank you
  4. I am also 17 days out! (Sleeve buddies) I have lost 19# but have hit a 3 day stall. I have read that it is very normal but still very frustrating. I have family asking everyday, "how much did you loose today?" It is frustrating. I trying to drink more fluids today and I am going for a walk with my daughter in a little bit. I am thinking of putting my scale away and weighing once a week. Not sure this will happen.
  5. Thanks, I found the palmers at target. I am now going to health store to buy vitamin E oil. I hope this will at least help the skin issue. Thank you.
  6. I was sleeved 1/10 with 20# gone from my 100# goal!! I am happy with how easy this has been. I am thinking ahead of the loose skin that I know will happen. I was going to start using lotion to help the skin with the elasticity. What brand have you used or heard to use? There is too many to choose from and I would rather get one that someone uses and works. Thank you
  7. I am not good with milk, shakes, or powdery products. I am so thankful for the isopure punch flavor drinks. 40 grams of protein and zero calories. It taste like Gatorade. I do equal ice to the drink and that way I am getting more fluids with the protien drink.
  8. It is normal to be nervous. I am 10 days out of surgery and I was a basket case before. I was so afraid of the pain and nausea (hate to get sick). I did throw up a few times in the hospital and it was not painful like I thought. A day later and at home it has been all up hill on the loosing side. My goal was 10 lbs a month. I have list 15 in 10 days. I am very happy. I told my dr going in that I didn't want morphine and as little drugs as possible. They make me nausea. So since I have been home, no medicine at all. My bp and blood sugars have been normal since the surgery. As scared as I was before, I know I have made the right choice and so glad I pushed through the nervousness. Good luck you can do this.
  9. All hooked up. The Chaplin just came in for a prayer. It won't be long now and I will be on the loosing side.
  10. I am having my surgery TODAY at noon! I am so ready to be healthy and begin this journey, yet VERY nervous of the unknown. I have read and read the story's and hear the good and the bad. Just praying the nausea isn't too bad. I am planning on as little pain Meds as possible and to get moving about ASAP. I am asking for prayers of strength. I look forward to being on the looser side. It's a new day and the beginning of the rest of my life.
  11. Hi firerose. I am also getting sleeved TOMORROW at 12:00 I am ready for this new life but i am nervous. All packed up with all the great ideas I have learned for this site. I wish you a speedy recovery and see you on the looser side.
  12. Thank you so much. I guess I will have cold and hot liquids ready. Not sure which will work for me. Never heard of a mug warmer but I will go look at target. I most worried about getting nausea, but I know it is part of it.
