Did you feel safe crossing the border into Tijuana?
I fel completely safe! I had the same worries but it really was a breeze. Now going back into the US was worse! the border patrol guy was an ass and made me feel as if I was doing something wrong. After my surgery and I was better we felt safe enough to take a cab to the mall. It was really pretty. Not one time did I feel threatened.

Help! Having trouble eating...
I was sleeved on 01/19 and am having the same issues as you! I NEVER feel hungry. I could go all day everyday and never consume a thing. I am having a terrible time getting my fluids down and eat very little everyday! I do get my Vitamins down. That's a must!! I feel like I never know what to eat or what I can try! I get so many different opinions. I do not have a NUT. I had my surgery in Mexico. I also feel desperate and have moments of regret! I am taking it minute by minute! Not even to day by day yet!

Im 13 days post op! I am having a terrible time with the "head hunger" I have remained faithful to the liquid diet and would be terrified to put anything solid in my mouth! I am so ready for the next phase so I can start adding something different!

Please tell me this is normal~
I was sleeved on 1/19 I have started having panic/aniexty attacks worry about everything! It's like it just hit me that I had most of my stomach cut off. I knew that going in but it's like I "really" didn't know! Every pain I have I worry that I have ruined/altered my life forever for vanity! Even though health issues were the underlying reason for it! I am in tears tonight! I am in just severe freak out mode!

Horror Story
HIPPA is not a factor here at all! She is not the facility or Dr. treating her! Family or friend can tell anyone they want! My question is did she not have a leak test before leaving the hospital? I had 2 before I was released. Can that happen after the fact?

Post op exercise?
How soon after surgery can I start exercising? I was sleeved on 1/19/13 and I want to do a walk/run clinic starting March 4th. Is this too soon?

Sleeved on 01/19/2013
I was sleeved on Saturday 01/19/13 in Tijuana with Dr. Garcia. I was very impressed with the care I recieved and the cleanliness of the facility! Everyone was so nice and kind! The surgery went well, very uneventful. I did have some of the side effects. Vomiting, severe nausea and horrible gas pains in my left shoulder. I will be honest and say they are fairly selfish with the pain meds. I had to walk off my pain. Which I do understand. But I have had surgeries here and they are all about masking the pain. This is the first surgery I have had that I had to deal with it myself. By Monday once the drain was taken out I felt SO much better. The gas pains stopped the moment the drain came out! Dr. Luna is the greatest! On Tuesday I felt like walking around the mall for a short time. I am having issues getting my allotted liquids down. I sip and sip but get so full I'm miserable. My incisions are healing nicely and not to sore. Over all the experience was exciting, scary, painful. But each day I am getting better! I am down 20.8 pounds since pre op. . That helps make it all better! Dealing with the psychological part of the head hunger has been the hardest part for me! I am told it takes about a month to retrain the brain so I am looking forward to that! Would I do it all over again? I'm not at that stage yet but I'm sure I will be before long.
