I'm from Zachary, La. I had my sleeve at Womens Hospital on Jan 21st in Baton Rouge with Dr Bellanger. it's been up and down for me. feel ok one minute and the next I'm nauseated and throwing up what little I just consumed.

I had mine on the 21st. it's been a lot harder than i anticipated. I have 6 incisions with the largest on my left side. that is where the worst pain is. a burning stabbing pain when I get up and down etc. but it has improved. I wonder if it hurts most because its the bigger cut where they took out my stomach or is it the area where they actually cut your stomach inside that causes the pain. I'm not able to keep down the protein drinks at all, even when I take the nausea meds.

I had my sleeve Mon. Jan. 21st and was wondering about chewing sugar free gum?

I had my VSG at 9:30 this morning in Baton Rouge at the new Women's Hospital and live in the Zachary area. they also repaired my hiatal hernia. Overall it's going pretty good. No gas pains or nausea. finally took me off oxygen, I wasn't getting enough until tonight. only walked half way around the hall first try, all the way around when we tried again a few hours later. I asked Dr Bellanger and the nurse to hold my hands while I prayed when he came around before surgery and I put it in God's hands.

I'm having mine in Baton Rouge on January 21st. i go to woman's hospital today for my testing, ekg etc.

That sounds like a great plan where you have a buddy to keep you accountable. I may try that.

I'm scheduled for Jan. 21st. Hoping all my pre-op test go well. I'm nervous and excited.
