Samuel is on the ball. I called him when I de-planed and he pulled up in front of baggage claim the instant I hit the sidewalk. Just a heads-up on the day before you return home. Samuel will call late in the evening after he has his plan for the day. I think he ended up calling around 9pm.

On my way back to Florida. My hats off to those who could post regular updates while going through that. I was to busy walking and sleeping. I took a lot of notes and ill post a bigger update when I get settled back home. Dr Garcia and his staff were really great but I'm not going to say the entire experience was kittens and rainbows. Again, nothing negative about Ready 4 a Change at all.

Btw. No naked people but when I walked into the OR I did see someone else having surgery. But they were draped except for the stomach.

You'll do great. I had mine yesterday. A lot of gas pain after the fact and a little nauseous. The staff Is really great so far.

What room. I'm 303. I think I'm the only dude on this floor.

Ok. In my room ready for surgery. I've been taking notes. If I live through this ill share them tomorrow. So far so good. Surgery within the hour.

He is at mi. It was a different doc though.

My friend was sleeved last night. He called me post op and sounded really good considering. His name is Dennis. Say hi to him if you see him. I'm so happy you get to get your surgery out of the way early. Good luck! I know you'll do great.

Well, I'm off! Alarm went off promptly at 3am, but i was pretty much up at 2. I got through security without the complementary anal cavity search. Yay! For those keeping track, I'm doing the same-day travel and surgery so I'll post as much about that part of the experience as possible. Part of having surgery same-day is that I have to wear compression socks on the way to Mexico to avoid clots. So, with a nod to Amytug, I share with you a little self-portrait of my own. It's probably because we're not allowed to drink all day and by the time they are ready to stick, we're pretty dehydrated. Any time I know I have to give blood, I try to chug a few large cups of water as soon as I get up and ever since I started that, I haven't had an issue.

Great story! I'm so happy you had such a non-eventful surgery. I bet you wish they knocked you out before going into the ER... it's kind of like making you walk to the firing squad.

I'm having my surgery with Dr Garcia march 6th. Woohoo. I'm getting excited. I haven't seen a lot of detail on posts from same day travel/operation people. I have to get up at 3am EST to get to San Diego by 10am PST. Then shuttle to mi doctor followed by surgery. If any of the veterans that have done this can share some of their tips or experiences, I would be grateful. I'm picturing 3 hours on a plane next to someone with my stomach rumbling. I know it will be a long day and I wish it could be over already.

I'll be extremely annoying with the updates. I'll try to remember as much detail as possible. There aren't many posts from people that travelled and had the surgery same day, so I'll try to remember everything and post it for everyone else's future endeavors.
