  1. @Nicolanz- Sorry but your post confused me? My last two sentences? I have struggled and hated myself & my failures for 20+ years! This journey is giving me hope, reminding me if I love myself I can do anything- losing weight included. I'm sorry if that didn't sit well with someone- I just don't see why. I have not been on a blog site before so maybe I'm way way confused over way way more than I should be. I'm so sorry if I upset anyone. Not my intention- nor to insult someone's intelligence. I simply don't understand why it is so hard to follow directions from MY doc I know are for my own good- it is my own lack of intelligence that is disturbing to me at times! Sent from my iPhone using VST Oh ok I get it- you were responding to the OP--- wow! Feel free to insult my intelligence now!! I'm learning this thing a little at a time!????????????????❤
  2. I'm scheduled for 1/16 so I may be way out of touch here, but with recent surgery I'm sure there is swelling and Fluid retention etc that is normal. Shortly as your body heals from the trauma I think you will start to see weight loss progress- What does doc say? Keep us posted. Sent from my iPhone using VST
  3. WOW! I'm in Reno NV, Dr John Ganser on 1/16 at 12:30!!! We are neighbors sorta..... Good luck friends! Nice to know we are not in this alone! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  4. YES!!!! So happy for you!! Good luck! Keep us posted Sent from my iPhone using VST
  5. You should be able to just "pop" in and get weighed at your PCP office. Aetna sent my doc a list of things I had to do. I just stopped in and his MA weighed me no charge and it was recorded for insurance. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using VST
  6. Best of luck! Keep us posted!!! My sleeve date is 1/16/13 ???? Sent from my iPhone using VST
  7. Oops sorry finger slip!! I went to see my advocate in Friday and talk about the denial for hospital - they said some things are up to the doc that insurance cannot say NO to if doc says YES. I'm still scared of costs etc but I trust my doc and his staff so I'm pressing on. Keeping you in my thoughts - hang in there!' Sent from my iPhone using VST
  8. Also I went to see my advocate on Friday Sent from my iPhone using VST
  9. I'm so sorry you are struggling! I too was denied TWICE! Even with other medical issues it wasn't until my BMI was a 40 for two years- it was 39! At any rate I kept fighting and having surgery on 1/16/13 My primary doc, my gynecologist and patient advocate were huge help and strong arms! I know it's not really appropriate, but I wish you wouldn't have compared our weight loss battle to that of a drug addict. I just feel I needed to say this as I thank God every day insurance helped my son, who is alive today. Insurance only covered 1 of his many rehabs - its not what you think. Fighting his addiction along side him for six years made me believe I could fight this battle for myself and I have and I AM! You will do this. You will be heAlthy and happy. Don't give up. You keep fighting and you will soon see the power that you hold inside- dont let insurance or anything stand in your way!! It may take longer than you hope, but YOU CAN DO IT!! Keep us posted and you will be in my prayers. Sent from my iPhone using VST
