  1. Hello, I'm a nurse on a cardiac ICU, I also had similar concerns. I returned 6 weeks after, you won't be ready in 2 weeks to lift, your belly and muscles around it have to heal. Believe it or not I had more energy when I returned to work then I did before surgery. Defiantly take time to heal. Your health is worth it!

    Anyone From New England?

    I'm in MA, Worcester area!
  3. So I was at Mc Donald's with my kids, didn't order anything, nor was I really hungry for that food. The smells got to me tho, my son had hot salty French fries, I tried one, just One greasy fry. The minute it hit my stomach it felt AWFUL. Threw up 3 times on the way home. Totally not worth it. Oh boy what a life change this is! Any similar experiences?
  4. I'm post op 1 month, ( sleeved dec 10th.) Healing up well, incisions closed. I looked down last night and saw stitches ( thread) popping out the side of the healed incision. No drainage, dry stitches. Has anyone had this happen? If so, do they need to be cut?
  5. I am. 5 weeks post op, was sleeved Dec12th. Thanks for the advise everyone! It's not really worth the bad feeling of eating poorly. Just a moment of weakness. The fry tasted terrible anyways.
  6. There are heparin and lovanox substitutes, agatroban is one, ask your MD about those substitutes.
  7. Shopping, not for what fits but what I WANT!
  8. Doing great until day 15 out, Christmas Day, bent over to pick up a light bag, stood up and popped an internal muscle stitch, felt like my insides were tearing apart! Trip to ER, abdominal binder later. Lots of rest now. Still sore but on the mend. Anyone out there with this issue?

10 days post op (its HARD)

Hello, I'm 14 days out. Woohoo! Still haven't even thought of mashed potatoes. It gets easier everyday to get down pills and yogurts, go slow. Too early for that. We will get there!
