  1. Yasmine, you look amazing... Like you were meant to be thin all along. Don't you feel like that; like THIS is how my body should have looked all these years! fabulous! proud of you!! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  2. I can't believe how much my life has changed since nov 12... Highest weight was 233. Today 154! Never thought I would see the day. This Summer has been so fun, dating and wearing size 10 white jeans! Someone pinch me! The only real downside is the saggy skin and deflated boobs... But nothing a good bra can't fix! I'm not going to complain about that! cheers to all the success of my fellow November sleevers!! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  3. Great post. I just flew for work last week since losing 60 pounds... I could actually cross my legs during the flight (yes, in coach!). I could put my purse under the seat in front of me and get it out during the flight with no problems. Skipping the complementary Diet Coke for Water almost brought me to tears but so did crossing my legs and I'll take those happy tears any day! Here's to a lifetime of comfortable travel. A letter of love to my body

Touching post. Thank you for that important reminder. Best wishes for a quick recovery from surgery. You will do great. The sleeve has changed mylife for the better and I marvel at my new body everyday, so conscious of every drink and morsel of food. Even more than food, I'm more conscious of life. Even the change in seasons was different this Spring... The flowers seem more beautiful and the smells of the blooms are incredible. In my bigger body I suppose I didn't take time to smell the roses, now I do. Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Omg still sick

I was sleeved Nov 12. I've had horrible nausea and exhausted all the nausea meds in the hospital, even that suppository (ugh). I came home with two Different nausea pills but I stopped them. I'm feeling better now overall. I do find that I'm the most nauseous when my stomach is empty. Especially the mornings. It takes me two hours of sipping water and eating tiny bites of applesauce or cottage cheese to feel ok. If I eat 2-3 small bites of something I enjoy like applesauce or sf pudding, it kicks the nausea. Nausea sucks. You are in my thoughts and prayers as I know it's an emotional roller coaster to deal with that.
  6. Same exact thing happened to me. I was sleeved on Nov 12 and was extremely nauseous. I was on multiple nausea meds, including the patch. I never turned the tv on or used my iPhone in the hospital so I never noticed the vision loss... Then I got home and about day 6 I attempted a text and panicked because the phone was a total blur. My surgeon said to remove the patch and it will go back to normal. I removed the patch, it left a scab! It was a very potent little tiny patch. About 2 -3 days after, it was back to normal. Phew!!

    Bad breath

Omg, thought it was just me! Mornings are the worst! I need to try those breath strips, thanks! I return to work Monday, bad breath and all...
  8. Sleeved Nov 12. Having a hard time with the recovery but I'm looking forward and have been losing weight and gaining some energy. I start back to work Monday and am anxious about it because for the last four weeks my days are consumed by protein, water, protein, vitamins, calcium chews, a bite of food, etc.. I'm used to being so busy at work I'm worried I will slip on my routine. (sigh). Here is the progress report: Starting weight 231 Current weight 206 (not sure how much of that was lost on the pre 3 day liquid diet) I'm currently stalling like others, but I'm not worried. I'm just going to try to be positive. I can't turn back time and just need to adjust.

    Surgical glue allergic reaction

I was sleeved Nov 12. This is my first post but I felt very compelled from your post. About 5 days after surgery my tummy/incisions started itching like crazy. At my 10 day check up the surgeon said it was allergic reaction to the glue and to use Benedryl. I did and it didn't work, in fact it got much much worse. Little red, itchy hives all over my tummy from incision to incision in all directions. I emailed the surgeon a picture and the nurse responded that I should go to my general doctor. I did and it was an infection! Called Folliculitis, a form of staph infection. I was devastated. But the antibiotics I'm on and the prescription steroid cream are working. Please please do all you can to get medical help, if it's not getting better please go to a specialist. Don't stop until you are satisfied that it's getting better. You are in my prayers as I know how horrible and scary anything out of the "norm" can seem.
