Thanks. I get stuck from time to time. I find I will be stuck at a certain weight for a couple weeks and then all of a sudden in three days drop five pounds. You will get there! 163 is not a bad number. Keep up the good work!!

I hit a three week stall and was totally stressing over it. But now moving on to week four and I'm beginning to lose again Last appt the Dr took me off all my blood pressure meds which was over all my main goal of all this. YAY me!

Surgery was the 6th. I have lost 13lbs since and 44lbs all together since pre-op. Experienced my first "stuck" feeling. I was taking my pills (cut up) just a few minutes ago and I think one was a little to big. Horrible pain! I can't seem to completely pass it. I am not the "vomiting" type and I tend to hold it in. This is such a horrible feeling. AHH!

Thats my plan.... celebrate in a couple more months when I am feeling good. Thank you all for understanding

So ... today is my birthday. I am having kind of a down day Birthdays are normally a big deal in my family. Parties, alcohol, and lots of food. I am way out of my element right now. I feel like I can't celebrate my birthday at all. I hate this feeling! I keep telling myself over and over I did this for myself, this is my present to myself. It's just hard to except no celebration for my one day. I know I know I should not think like this and I am beyond grateful for the opportunity I have been given. It's just a hard day :/ Also on the negative my husband has to work all day and I wont be able to see him at all on my birthday End rant! Thank you all for listening. Hope all is going well with everyone.

This is a lifestyle change. You dont want to live to eat. You should want to eat to live.I understand the feelings cause I myself had the same 2 days after surgery. It's all mind over matter! You made this decision to get you back on your feet to live a long healthy lifestyle instead of the path of over eating your self and dieing of a heart attack or other obesity related illness. It's just food. And eventually you will be able to eat all the food you used to enjoy just in moderation. You will train your brain to be able to take one bite,enjoy, and then be done. Good luck on your journey and I hope any of this helps with your down moment. Cheer up I am sure it will get easier.

Has anyone heard of being able to receive a card from your doctors saying you had bariatric surgery and you are allowed to eat from the childrens menu? When you are ready to eat that is. Someone was telling me about it and I dont want to stroll into my dr office like an idiot asking for a "special" card.

I am in NY on the border of PA where I had mine. And without insurance the surgery here costs roughly $20,000. Thank god for my insurance otherwise I would not have had the opportunity to have it done.

Officially sleeved! My story is a little more intense then others. Had surgery on wednesday and everything went ok with that. I had to have a hernia repair as well. Well the nausea following surgery was horrendous! They tried every medicine to help but everything made it worse. A day and a half of dry heeving. Not so much fun! They made me stay an extra night so i was there 3 nights overall. It was the worst. Not so much the actually surgery it was just the nausea that was out of control. Hope everyone else had a better experience then me. Feeling better now that I am home. Nausea is gone and still a little pain. One of the incisions is pretty tender but other then that sip sip sip

I am March 6th as well. Tomorrow came so fast. I am only two hours from Syracuse. Was just up there over the weekend. Good luck tomorrow!!

Where are you having your surgery? My doctor is very particular about everything. I was on an all liquid diet for two weeks. Absolutely no solids. I have to take a Multivitamin twice a day and a Calcium three times a day. And then do this bowel cleanse the day before the surgery. I so have to shower tonight and tomorrow morning with special soap they gave me. There is so much. But I am noticing on here all doctors have different procedures. Good luck with everything.

Surgery tomorrow and so I am sitting here trying to suck down this liquid magnesium citrate laxative to prep my bowl and I dont think I can get through it. I literally gag with every sip. I have tried plugging my nose, I have tried using a straw, and even a chaser and I am only about 2 oz into the 10 I have to consume. Lord have mercy on me. This is awful.

OMG I did the same thing. Totally teared up. Can you imagine. We will look that good soon enough

I am 3/6 as well and started mine last wed. It has been rough but after the 3rd day it gets so much better. I occasionally get a small panic attack when I think about food and how much I "think" I need it .. but I just need to remind myself food is NOT my life!!! You will do great. Just make sure to get all your protein in everyday!

AHHH! I am having surgery next week. NEXT WEEK! I am going to have to admit I am a little on edge. I am stressed out due to the fact my husband has been laid off from work the past few months so it was a perfect opportunity to have the surgery so he could be home to help me with our kids and he just got called back and started today. I am having surgery on wed so he is taking wed, thurs, fri off along with the weekend. I am praying I will be up to taking my daughter to school monday and take care of my 2 year old all day. It's going to be rough!

Happy Birthday and keep up with your good work. I am on my 5th day out of 14 for the liquid diet requirement and it has been so hard. But we can do this. I just keep the end result at the top of my head. You dont need food to celebrate life is what I am telling myself. Ouch 3 weeks of liquid that must be rough. I have to do 2 weeks of a liquid diet and my surgery date is also March 6th. So nervous. I keep having dreams that when my surgery date is here I just forget to go or dont make it on time. I am wondering if this is my minds way of telling me I shouldnt do it or its just nerves. I want it more then anything. I have done this good so far. I am young and have young babies. I want to live a long and healthy life for not just myself but for them as well.

This pre-op diet would be a dream ^ I have to go on an all liquid diet 14 days before my surgery. I am totally freaking out!
