  1. I feel good, down about 30 lbs. and am very happy I had the surgery (I had a band first). How about you? I also had Dr Prashar he's great!!!
  2. I had mine through WLC January 9th of this year!
  3. I was so worried about this too and was too embarrassed to ask this question! I'm 15 days post op and have had to pick up my 11 months old (who is around 22 lbs) out of his crib and all that since day 5 when all my help went back to work. I just tried to be as careful as possible. I had my 2 week post op appt yesterday and am doing fine and okay to lift up to 25 lbs now.
  4. I work on a Cardiac Tele unit and am going back to work tomorrow. I work two 12 hr shifts and one 8 hour shift. I had my surgery on January 9th. My doc recommended at least 2 weeks off i would have liked to take more just because its nice being off with my kids but can't really afford to do it ( I used all my time when I had my son in February ) .. Physically I feel great though and ready to go back actually. I'm just on restrictions for lifting more than 25lbs until 6 weeks post op.
  5. I take omeprazole twice a day and have been taking the tablet whole since day after surgery and have had no issues at all. All my meds post op were whole and I was able to take them all fine (although it was a little tricky at times taking 2 pain pills with only a sip of water)
  6. I love Greys .. It's the highlight of my week haha !!
  7. I feel pretty good!! Still having trouble drinking these nasty protein drinks (still on full liquids). The first 5 days or so were the worst with pain and fatigue. Physically I feel good the worst part for me is being stuck in my house all day, I have 2 boys my youngest is 11 months and I'm not supposed to lift him so can't really leave my house and go do anything since I can't lug him around! I've lost about 12 pounds since surgery ( I didn't have to do a preop diet or the 2 week liquid diet ) and am planning on going back to work next Friday.
  8. I go to the weight loss clinic off union deposit and had my surgery at Community General. We have a lot in common haha I am also a RN! Do you have to do all the pre op stuff over again ( like all the appts and diet and all that)
  9. I hope so! I'm ready to have some energy haha I've been so tired!
  10. I feel pretty good today .. still pretty sore but no nausea. Working to get these fluids and protein in which is very hard.
  11. Hi everyone I'm from right outside of Harrisburg .. Just had my surgery on Jan 9th though pinnacle health weight loss center
  12. And I'm also a band to sleeve revision
  13. I'm also 2 days post op .. Liquids are still pretty hard to get down for me .. So far today I had one 8oz protein shake and about 4 oz of water .. Water is hardest for me to get down for some reason
  14. I'm 24 and having my revision on January 9th ... I have the lap band now which I've had since 21 ... I'm scared too!!
  15. Ahhhh just scheduled my surgery ... January 9th (band to sleeve revision)
  16. Hi everyone! I just found this page today and joined so i figured id introduce myself. My name is Chelsey. I am a 24 year old married mother of 2 boys -- ages 4 and 10 months. I am a registered nurse and work on a cardiac telemetry unit where I work 3 days a week and have the other 4 days at home with my boys I started this WLS journey in 2009 when i got the lap band ( the sleeve wasnt an option ). So i have had since Dec 2009 -- which was very unsuccessful and nothing but problems for me. Since September I have been waiting to find out if I was approved to get the sleeve and just found out last week that Its APPROVED! So currently I'm waiting to find out what my requirements are to have the revision & then get a surgery date! I'm ready to start this journey to a healthier me! And I'm hoping that the sleeve is everything I had hoped the lap band would be and wasn't! I'm so glad I found this page and am enjoying reading everyone's posts. Thank you all for the great info and insight into the sleeve.
