    Nov 20th Sleevers

Hi Paulag. Yes, I had that concern and it acually happened to me until I gave my head a shake and took back control. You start to feel so god and gradually realize that you can eat almost anything you want even though the portions are smaller. It took an actual weight gain of 5 lbs to make me realize that I still have to watch what I eat. I am hopefully back on track now and loosing gradually. If you have any questions or concerns that I can help you with, please let me know. Take care and stay positive.
  2. I am post surgery (Nov. 20/12) and it is more than time to commence an exercise program. The problem is, I have an arthritic knee (am on a surgery list for knee replacement) and dont know what exercise I can do that will be effective but not hurt my knee which is always very painful. Does anyone have any suggestions? FYI there is no mall in our town for walking and I have trouble walking anyway. Also, there is usually snow/ice on the ground at this time of year so it is dangerous to walk outside. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  3. Hi. Don't be discouraged............I did the same thing. I had my surgery on Nov. 20/12 and at that time weighed 268 lbs. Post surgery during the two week fasting, I went down to 255 lbs. I had my surgery in Tijuana, Mexico and upon return, I weighed 269 again but I did learn that there is weight retention due to surgery plus the fact that your body does not want to let go of the pounds. It has been slow going but as of today, I am down to 243 lbs. In my opinion, this is not enough but I am told that approx. 10 lbs per month is healthy. Please dont say your surgery was a mistake...........even though the weight loss is slow, it is still loss and yours will come. Take care. Linda (knitter)

    All Nov 19 Sleevers!

Hi everyone. Wish I had found this site before I had my surgery which was Nov. 20th in Tijuana, Mexico. I was very scared to be going to a foreigh country for the surgery but everything worked out o.k. The only complication I had was feeling very sick after surgery and I also had a terrible headache. I live in Ontario, Canada so the flight was long - 6 hours plus waiting times at different airports. I am done 16 lbs so far and this has been the first week I have actually felt close to normal. What vitamins (B12, iron, etc.) is everyone taking. Thanks for letting me in the group even though I am the 20th.
