I got my passport delivered today got it in less than three days. Trust me I paid for them to expedite it, so it can be done as i leave on the 9th for Dr. Aceves. So now that I have it and the cashiers check I am so chickening out. My sister had her sleeve done about three weeks ago and she said if she were me she prob would not do it. So I am thinking to myself am I taking the easy way out? My BMI is sitting at 30 but for me to be 185 and 5"6 I am not comfortable with that. I wear size 17 must be my hips I don't know but it's not what I want to be I want to be a 9/10 I'm very comfortable there. I had a full hysterectomy and the weight is just packing on i do have high bp and high cholesterol. I'm just trying to talk through this to you guys, I know some would say no and some would say yes but I'm scared inside that something will go wrong. Anyways thanks for listening and for any support offered.

I just asked my doctor if they had a insurance policy to add and they said no.

There are not emergency rooms at every va. The closet one to me is about two hours away. And your PCM does not have to do anything for you in regard to your wls unless is was related to when you were a veteran or they performed the surgery. Just like now if I walk into an Er with a migraine I cannot get rid of they might pay they might not but most likely will as I have a disability rating from them for migraines. And I am talking about a non Va emergency room because the va ones are too far away for a real emergency.

I am 5"6 184.5 and I am getting sleeved. Bring in the dirty looks .

The VA is so wishy washy. Either way I don't want to gain 80-100 pounds just for them to pay for it.

I do not have champus just the va for military related issues. I would never get approved as my BMI is barely on the edge of 30. I know to some that's low but to me it's a lot, heavier than I have ever been. Anyways thanks for all the replies.

Was wondering if anyone previously military whom receive monthly benefits have had surgery done in Mexico. Additionally, if so did the Va support you or no?

Yes nervous especially since I will be alone. I just hope I have no complications. Did u have to do a pre op diet ? As I do not.

I am December 10th as well. But I don't have to do any special diet before hand.
