  1. Is there any flavorless protein powder that I can just start adding to my cream of wheat in the morning?
  2. If you would have asked this a few weeks ago I would have said yes but now I have no regrets. The first few weeks are hard but I am on week 4 post op and feeling so good now I was in a lot of pain and then it just went away I'm on soft foods now and finally feel normal again I'm down 30lbs and it feels so good. Again just know it is hard the first few weeks but that will go away and everything will be fine good luck

When can I drink caffeinated coffee if ever?
  5. Ok so I drank but very little like less than 1oz of vodka with 7oz of cranberry juice it didn't even give me a buzz so it wasn't even worth it but I feel fine it was probably not enough to matter my pain medicine gave me more of a buzz anyways I still had a really good time at the party laughing at all my drunk coworkers
  6. What helps me is chewing something I like then spit it out don't swallow that works for me. The other day my husband made steak it smelled so good I took a bite chewed it then spit it out
  7. It gets better every day just take it easy
  8. Wow you are very brave I wish you well and a quick recovery take care
  9. I am only one month post op and I hear that this can happen to people and it scares me. I know getting this surgery is no quick fix its actually the hardest thing I have ever done and still know it is going to take will power and discipline to reach your goal and stay there. Just think back to how you felt the day you came out of surgery and all the pain you went through don't let that go to waste after what you endured. You lost so much weight already and just a little to go. You can do it find something that really motivates you and focus on it. Find a work out that is fun say bike riding or Zumba something that doesn't feel like exercise but will melt those pounds you can do it!
  10. Thank you I will as my doc for liquid and start taking the meds the last thing I want is another surgery thanks again
  11. My doctor gave me this anti gall medication and I am suppose to take one in the morning and one at night for 6 months I started taking the meds but they make me feel really sick and nauseated. I don't want to take them but then don't want to get gall stones and go through any of that. Any suggestions or has anyone not taken them and been fine?

  15. I was sleeved on 11/13 and have lost 26lbs so far i am still in pain but getting better daily. I have been walking but only like 20-30 mins a day looking forward to really work out once I am fully recovered

  17. I am going on three weeks post op and am craving pizza and I never even really ate it pre surgery it's very weird I even dreamt I ate pizza last night but what was really funny in my dream I cut once slice of pizza in half so it was just a small piece so I can eat it lol very weird is anyone else having weird dreams about food?
  18. Your tough no pain meds I can't do that but yes those that said they had no pain are lucky. Well I am out of my pain meds so I guess I have to just tough it out looking forward to Christmas I will be 6 weeks post op and praying I will feel 100 % by then now that would be a great Christmas gift
  19. Yes I have the same pain I had my surgery on 11/13 and my doc said its normal its the side where the stomach was removed its common he said just take it easy I feel better and better every day and yes a binding helps so much I didn't like the one I got at the hospital so I got a girdle looking tank top that holds it all in its just like a one piece that you wear like a tank top it helps
  20. I was concerned about being opened up too but my doctor reassured me as long as I followed the pre op diet and since I am young and in pretty good health that I wouldn't have to worry it is just something they have to tell you worse case scenario. I had my surgery laproscopic and it worked out so don't worry you should be fine
  21. Yes I too had the Hershey squirts lol not fun it Went away about two weeks post op now I'm just constipated and apple sauce has been helping a little bit. But don't worry it will pass
  22. I started my cycle one week post op and it was normal so we will see how it goes next month won't hurt my feelings if it doesn't come or it's light that would be a plus
