  1. It's been about 5 weeks since my surgery & total weight lost (including 2 week pre-op diet) is 47lbs
  2. Started my pre-op Dec 1 at 374lbs. Surgery day 12/14 357lbs. Today, my 1 month weigh in put me at 340 for a total loss of 34lbs gone forever. I'm so excited!
  3. Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Mexico has been nice even without tequila, LOL. Looking forward to my long journey home tomorrow
  4. I was sleeved yesterday! I had a beautiful experience with the surgical staff Definitely would highly recommend this team to anyone. Looking forward to reporting on progress.
  5. I'd like to hear more about the diet you're following. Do you have anymore info on it, like meal plans or even a website?
  6. Thanks so much for the tips ladies. My surgery is about 3 weeks from now and it looks like I need to make a run to the store. I have a question, what kind of bandages are you all referring to? I'm assuming you aren't speaking of bandaids LOL

  8. Thanks for your updates! I'm getting sleeved Dec 14th and I've been getting anxious the closer I get to the date. I seriously can't wait, but I'm kind of ready for it to be over already. I've been contemplating this for 5 years lol
  9. Just remember Obesity is a disease. Whether he has a fetish or not, if he truly cares about you he will care about your health. If you had cancer, or heart disease, or kidney disease, and a dr. suggested surgery or treatment to make you healthy again, how would he respond? It's the same thing with obesity. Be honest with him and if you want to go down this road with him, he needs to understand that this treatment is to help you be healthy. If he truly loves you, he's going to want the best for you and will support you through this journey. At least that's my two cents
  10. U should take a pic every 30 days in the same outfit. You'll see it then, even if you don't see it when you look in the mirror.
  11. I recently bought a nutri-bullet (I'm still pre-op) but I like the idea of getting my nutrients in and I think it will be great especially during the puree phase before solid food (and after). It's the idea of whole food juicing, you can liquify fruits, veggies, rinds, skin, seeds, nuts, & whatever else u throw in there...I don't know if you've seen the infomercial. However, after about 3 weeks, I've noticed a lot of fuzz, especially around my edges where my hair was thinning (due wearing braids too tight and not caring for my hair). I'm not saying it's a cure and I'm in no way a specialist, but hair loss could mean you're having some kind of nutrient deficiency or deficiency in Protein? Just an idea of a way to introduce some healthy and natural nutrients back into your diet. If it's protein, add a scoop of Protein Powder. Hope it helps
