Getting hungry already??
I was banded on the 5/24. I had no pre op diet but the post op has killed me...I was having 2oz of liquid with water and tea every 2 hours...Then they moved me to creamy soups...Same deal...I was starving to death...I just started drinking more at a time...I was a binge eater so I feel like Im binging on soup but is that possible...I havent had anything with texture so Im hoping I havent stretched my pouch. I am only having about 600 calories a day and have lost 10 lbs since surgery..I went back to the gym today and walked 2 miles...That will help. My post op appt is Thur...Im curious to see what the dr says...Im going to beg him for a fill even though I doubt Ill get one...Good luck all...

A thread for Single Bandsters
Hi All. I havent been on in a few because I have had some ex man drama...It is all through now and I can finally move on...That man has made me got nuts on low fat cream soups tonight...I hope I havent messed anything up.They have all been thinned in the majic bullet and low fat and cal but it has been to much anyone think I did any damage?...I am very much a stress eater and I need to turn it into a stress walker or somthing...I guess there is always tomorrow...I am also on POF. There are some nice guys on there and some total scumbags...Just like in real life. I out a semi true profile up to see whats out there. Since I am newly single and banded I think I have alot to work on before I worry about finding another man...I hope you all have a great weekend also if your on MySpace i can be found at martinis_rock. Take care of you....Kimi

Questions for experienced bandsters (stretching the pouch)
Ok, Im having a slight nervous breakdown. I got banded on May 24. I went to work today and was so busy all I had time for between 11 and 7 was 2 Yopliat light smoothie drinks...Thay are 8 oz each...When I came home I was starving so I put a can of 98% fat free cream of chicken soup with water to thin it down in the majic bullet. Then I ate the WHOLE thing...I didnt wait to long and I was still hungery so I did the same with a can of 98%ff Broccoli cheese soup. Now Im comfortably full... I can believe I binged on soup...Im so emabarrased...Has anyone done this??? Did I hurt my pouch??Band???

JCGrove29, Why did you have to get un unfill? You only have 11 lbs to go Yeah for you!!!!! thats so great...If you have alredy said Im sorry I missed it. This site is so confusing the way they put the posts and I can never keep up. Alysa, It would be at least six weeks if not a bit more before you could tote al that luggage. My Dr told me not to lift anything over 3 lbs for 6 weeks...Good luck though.... Lee4love1, Pot smoking is DEFINANTLY a deal breaker...Dealt with that before the slacker only he was a slacker also...My Mom said my picker is broke...I keep picking the same man in a different body...Totally true...Which is why Im OFF the dating wagon until I lose some weight and figure out whats best for ME. I hope that doesnt take long...

5675309, My BMI was 35.7 and I have 60 lbs to lose with no health problems. Dr Cribbins did not require I go to a GP first. I dont necessarily think I would listen to your Dr. if you have health problems that losing weight could help and he is telling you not to do the surgery...

OK after a string of HUGE man mishaps...I have decided to recover from my surgery and lose the weight and THEN venture out into the world of dating...Though after those mishaps my list is going to be terribly unforgiving (I dont have it yet). It is however going to start with the things on Suzzzies list...Believe it or not my last two losers have had a combination of all those things...UGH...Thanks for listening...

!!!Help Post-Op Diet!!!
Audry, I was banded on May 24th. My Dr has me on thick liquids for the next 5 weeks. Thats following 3 days of clear liquids. Dr Cribbins was very adament about how important it is NOT to stretch the stomach during the healing process. The list above is a great one. Im surprised your Dr didnt give you a list. I got one from the Dr and one from the nutritionist. I am also self pay and mine came with 1 year of fills, nutritionilist, and support group. All things I will need. One of my favs for thick liquid has been Organic Tomato soup with Beneprotien mixed in. I think soups are fine as long as they arent to thick...The things you are making sound great. You should put them on the recipe thread...Good luck...

Dr Cribbins did my surgery at Baylor Frisco...He was great...I had mine 4 weeks from the siminar date. I was cash pay though and I knwo that insurance takes a little longer... OUSooner, Did Dr Cribbins tell you 2 oz of thick liquids every two hours for 5 weeks? Or did I getthat wrong because Im having a problem getting my Proteins in. I just got banded on May 24th, so its still new. Thanks

No wieght loss
I am on liquids also, I was banded May 24th and my belly is still huge. Mylanta chewables have helped ALOT...You might try that to get some of the gas out. Its terribly uncomfortable...I have found all post diets are different. Mine now is thin soups and protien drinks 2 ounces every 2 hours. Compared to what I was eating before my body has no choice but to lose weight. I love this site...Im just figuring out how to use it. It is very confusing. Good luck on your weight loss.
