- Always Thinking about food!
- Ever been called fat by a kid?
I think to make a blanket statement that if a child asks about your being fat, I mean a young child, that it is somehow a parents fault.. But I think most of you know that especially the ones with very young children. Most things are said with innocence and its what the parent does afterwards to educate the child that really matters. An to the gentleman who blames the parents and public schools? I have to disagree with your statement about public schools, many public schools and children that attend them are outstanding. I realize you deal with the underbelly of society but to bunch all public school children as the same is wrong... Unless I read what you were saying wrong?- Always Thinking about food!
As some of you know I was feeling a bit down yesterday... Well I have to admit that I went shopping yesterday just for little things here and there but I did make me feel good because I "forced" myself out to be part of society! Oh and at one point I had my son with me and we stopped into See's so he could pick out two chocolates. Damn those sweat old ladies pushing those free samples!!! But I'm proud to say I said "no thank you" Oh did I mention I was a secret binge eater anyway so it wouldn't of given me the pleasure that I get from eating alone... (Yes I was a special kind of messed up)- At What Weight Limit Did You Say "you Have Had Enough"?
Hahahaha!!! Oh wait... I watch it too.... Hangs head low also Hey I watched it yesterday is Lauren still losing or is she gaining???- Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
I really like the word "bounce" because that's what a normal weighted person does with their weight! It's not like they are 123 every flipping day of the week! On that note I'm going to stick with the 5:2 over the 4:3 and at the moment and keep it at Tuesday, Thursday. I actually thought about Monday and Thursday to spread it out at bit but then I realized that tues & Thursday incorporate Wednesday a bit too. And there is something about that continuous flow that I think I like.. Ms skinniness wonderful about your husband! I read a little about that and I think it's great if it works! One of the reasons I had the sleeve was to get healthy enough to get off my high blood pressure meds even with them it wasn't being controlled very well my weight loss is good but being off the meds is GREAT! I don't have the impending doom type feeling of "I'm going to die anytime now" and that's is an awesome thing:)- 3 days post op with swollen stomach and gained 8 pounds
I would say not...my stomach looked like frankenbelly for about a week or two it was so swollen. And I didn't bother even stepping on a scale for about that long also because I knew I was up from fluids and swelling from the trauma.- 3 days post op with swollen stomach and gained 8 pounds
Yep pretty much everyone....- Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
Ok I'm over myself a bit now. I don't know what was going on this morning. It's funny I stepped on that scale intending to see a gain after two days of celebrations only to see one of the biggest losses I've had since starting this. I don't know I just lost it and cried it just was confusing this whole thing is confusing somedays! Anyway I got out and faced the day wearing something I bought a couple of days ago in a smaller size. A little sun some deep breathing and some shopping/ errand running put me back into the right frame of mind!- Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
Melancholy today... I wish I could shake it. I've had a great last two days. Which included foods that I have avoided like the plague since surgery. Bread, a couple bites of sweets and alcohol.. It's because of birthday celebrations and a wild party I went to yesterday. I just weighed and now the scale tells me I'm down again.. From 171 (stuck at over two months) to 169 a few days ago to just now 166? I'm confused, happy, and sad. I have been so strict with this sleeved life (diet) since the beginning. My mind is STILL that of a food addict but I fight it everyday! Sometimes every moment of every day. Is this a fluke? Is it an answer? Have I been to strict? I don't know.. And I guess that's what makes me melancholy we've all done this and some of us have been doing this for years before the sleeve. But being sleeved was supposed to be different, work still, but different. I don't know if this rambling make any sense. But I have a lot on my mind.- The 5:2 diet
Amy at your stage I was stoked at a pound a week!! But you know that. I don't know if I can fully endorse this yet because we all are very new at it still... I think because you are still eating very low calories already. the idea of having a resting period from the food would be something I would consider if I were you.. I have been so regimented with the same calories and nutrients every day I think my body likes the mixing it up aspect and the resting period.. essentially eating your normal healthy amounts every week but 2 days out of the week tues and Thursday for me I eat 500 calories and make sure there is a fasting time of at least twelve hours before and after... That I think is key here stop the grazing for a day! So Monday I don't eat after 7pm Tuesday 2 to three small meals starting at 10 am and eat dinner no later than 7 pm keeping the day at 500 total making wise Protein choices and pushing the water! I'm not recommending it but its working out well so far- bougie size?
- The 5:2 diet
- bougie size?
Vicki 38 is a good size he will definitely be able to get all of the neo fundus that you have left after the last surgery- The 5:2 diet
- Best condom idea, ever!
- The 5:2 diet
Oh and fiddle TDEE and 5:2 room for both- The 5:2 diet
Well :D Is all I have too say! I'm feeling good I'm getting ready for a party and the scale is minus another 1.5 pounds?? Mua ha ha ha ha ha!! Variety is the spice of life. Oh and to everyone do not underestimate the power of Water also Disclaimer; this is not for the newly sleeved except the WATER part SIP SIP SIP- Always Thinking about food!
Yes I think it's disconcerting to be thinking about food still. And as you know I still do. Having this surgery has you thinking about it naturally because of the timing and amounts of food figure into your daily life even more now. But as a food addict, it's more than just timing and measuring of food that consume me at times. I still, even though I don't... think about eating all the time. Is it because I have a tendency to have obsessive thoughts and actions (OCD diagnosed and runs in my family) I've thought about the oral fixation I have too, I mean literally oral! it's my mouth, I feel the "need" To have something in there (no wise ass joke men please) at all waking moments. Like I said on the other thread... I still go to bed thinking about food and wake up thinking about food. Am I destined to fail? Depends on what I do with it. My eyes are wide open and I will continue to learn about my complicated self. As always my name is Laura and I am a food addict and a work in progress.- It's Like They're Daring Me...
I'm thinking at the moment to keep up to see how it works as a way of life to break up the other days of a all day grazing mentality. Girl PMSing and grocery store don't mix!- The 5:2 diet
Globetrotter, I've had moments of grumpiness on the fast days... I think because the eating schedule that I've been on since surgery turns out to look a lot like grazing all day. So putting a little bit of distance in between meals has been a little harder than I thought... I don't feel shaky... But I agree with butter, It might be a good idea to look at your sugar intake. I felt that way several years ago just like butter said I would feel like I would pass out and shaky if I didn't eat every couple of hours. I read a book about food addiction and decided to cut out all sugars real and fake.. I was surprised at the fact that sugar was even in things that you don't think about like most American breads. Ezekiel bread is good by the way I cut out just that one ingredient! And the shakes/ lightheaded feelings went away! That's the downside about a lot of my post surgery habits now fake sugars but as time passes I'm trying to cut those down too.- ITS MY BIRTHDAY!
She's my mom! Like I said I gotta love her I didn't tell her about my surgery until the date was booked and she felt helpless so begged to please come down and drive me to the hospital. I finally said yes. Well the morning of the surgery I open the front door to that crazy b***h is standing there holding 2 gigantic trays of Cookies and a cookie hanging out of her mouth! No joke! Wish I had taken a pic! She's harmless and provides me with something to laugh about!- medifast and herbalife pre op
I didn't use medifast but I used Optifast (almost the same thing) My surgeon includes this in his program so it was my pre op diet. It worked well.. - Always Thinking about food!
