I am 26 years old, height 5'2, and weight 260 , Insurance I have is Medi-Cal Anthem BC, i have some questions about process. BMI is 46.6, i had some gallstone issues and recently got my gallbladder removed , and ever since i have been having issues with my feet, major pain/soreness to where it hurts walking on them everyday, im scared to what this can mean. Anyone know the requirements that nned to be met to get approved for WLS on Anthem BC California?

I had a few questions about WLS. The pro's I know of but I am just afraid of the cons, also if I should or shouldn't go through with the process of talking with doctor, getting a referral and approval and surgery date etc. I haven't seen a PCP doctor in a long time, and because of Medi-Cal insurance I am unable to even go to mine because he is not accepting New Patient appts, so I have had no Diabetes, High Cholesterol, etc Blood Work done ever. I am 24, 100 plus over supposed weight i should be for my height, and my mom has had high cholesterol, and my grandfather has heart disease, and grandmother has diabetes, a few of her sisters also. I am still Breastfeeding and have had 3 c section surgeries and would like to have more children via VBAC in the future also so I really want to know how WLS will affect my body, reproductive organs and all other organs with rapid weight loss, and getting used to the new lifestyle. T.I.A

oo yes that is quick, hopefully the process wont be tooo long for me

oo ok . i see. i hope my c-sections wont get in the way of WLS Sleeve.

When you say you had other abdominal surgeries, so they did an open incision, does that mean like for example, delivering a baby cesearean section (c-section)???? Also you say they reconstructed your abdominal wall, would that be an extra fee to the WLS ? And will your belly button always have to go with reconstruction the abd wall.
