May 6th for me

Lol exactly. I can't wait to walk into the office after 6 weeks post op down a few pounds. From what I read at 6 weeks I should be down about 50 lbs at least if I follow all rules which I intend to do! A fellow sleeved told her boss and co-workers that she had a cyst on her stomach and had to have it removed. I've also heard folks say they had appendix out or gallbladder removed but then you have to remember you said it. LoL

Thanks everyone for the feedback! I will grab a vitamix ASAP! I start my preop diet on April 24th and surgery is May 6th. Trying to get the house ready for the big change! There are a few different models guessing I should just invest in the professional I can't really tell a difference between them .

Hey there I'm thinking of buying a blender/juicer for my pre and post op diets. I like the vitamix but really want to be able to juice fruits and veggies. Anyone have one and can you juice with it

Congrats I have the same date. I wanted to shout it from the rooftops then I realized I haven't told many people and don't want to tell anyone else. So I sit online reading posts and thinking about the excitement and fear that I have.

I'm new to this room but have been in VSL talk for a few months. I'm still pre-op approved on 3/27/13 and waiting for surgeon to call me with a date next week. I'm so excited about the journey I'm about to take. I'm a bit nervous about how it will impact my personal life. I'm single but my son's father wants us back together and married. I'm just unsure and need to get myself together before I can commit to anything. Plus who knows the new me may need to get out there and enjoy life before settling down

I finally told my Dad last night and he was amazing! Very supportive I was shocked but very happy to have that burden lifted.

Thanks! They are calling with my date next week and I was worried after my dental appointment today.

Anyone have surgery delayed due to dental work. I found out today that I need my wisdom teeth pulled and a cracked tooth from an replaced with an implant. Anyone know whether that will delay my surgery or if I can wait till after surgery.

I haven't told my Dad. My mom passed away years ago. My Dad was living in Cali but moved here to be closer to his grandson. So my plan of not telling him is out the window. I know he will be totally against it. I would love to just tell him in going lousy of town a few days but he will wonder why I'm off work for 4 weeks. My Dad is very health focused he will spend everyday talking me out of it and telling me to just work out. I'm thinking once approved and I have a date I will tell him like a week before. I'd rather wait till the day of to tell him! lol
