    I feel so frustrated

    Thanks so much ladies !!!!
  2. Hi ! My name is Nichole and this is my first time posting on a forum here. I am 2 1/2 weeks post op. I am now starting solid foods (about three days ago) and I am doing pretty well with anything Ive tried. My frustration is with the stupid scale !! I lost a lot of weight my first week or so (about 20 pounds). Then in the last week NOTHING. The scale wont move. I know that was a crap load to loose in less than two weeks but now I am feeling frustrated. I can barely get in 600 cals a day right now ( I am getting my protein goals though) and I am exercising everyday and nothing ?? really !?! I know this is just irrational thinking but I am thinking what if this dosnt work for me ??? What if I don't loose ??? I have worked so hard to get here and I just don't want this to be another failure. Prior to surgery I was not focused on the scale at all ....just living a healthier life ....now post op Ive become obessed with the scale. I need to just put it away and stop weighing myself and get focused on living healthy. Sorry ....just needed to vent and rant

    Celexa

Hi, yes I take it and no I have never noticed an increase in appetite. It can contribute to weight gain but honestly I never noticed any. It can however make you tired, so I take mine at night before bed. This medication changed my life. I had never taken anxiety/depression meds before this and I can honestly say it has give me a new lease on life I have been on it for four years now
  5. Im new to this sight. I live in Alberta and am part of a amazing program called Weight Wise. I was just approved for the Sleeve last week however I have decided to wait until next spring/ summer for surgery (its better for my job). In our program we have 10 classes to complete about various topics (ie health, healthy food choices, and stress managment) . Each of us have a team that consist of a Dr, nurse, physcologist, and diatitian who we see aproximately once a month. When they feel you are ready and have made appropriate life style changes you are then sent to the surgeon and approved for surgery. The entire process is about 8 months to a year. It seems like a long time, at least it did to me but it has gone by fast and I can honestly say I have learned so much about myself and my health it is unbelievable. I have been dieting since I was 10 and I thought I knew all the ins and outs on health and wellness but through this process I have come to realize I had so much to learn about the mental part of obesity. I knew how to eat healthy; I think most of us do, its how to apply that into our everyday life. I have a ways to go until my surgery however, I am so excited to be on this journey !!
