Let's Check In November 2012 Sleevers!
Good Afternoon Everybody! I haven't posted in so long. I was sleeved Nov. 27...everything is going very well. I have lost 35lbs and feel great. I am back to work, which is hard to get used to. I work 12 hour shifts in a very busy ER and I feel like I just can't get in enough protein or water. I really think slow and steady wins the race as far as weight loss. I do notice that if I drop weight too quickly I feel very crappy. I am just trying to exercise more and find new ways to tempt my palate in a healthy way. I hope everyone is also doing well!

How long have all of you been taken out of work? I have my post op appointment tomorrow. My doc was very strict about being out for 6 weeks, but I guess it is due to the nature of my job. I am an ER nurse and do a lot of heavy lifting. I feel like I will be good to go at 4 weeks. Some people go back to work after two weeks!- Surgery tomorrow...
You are all going to do fantastic! I was sleeved 12 days ago and feel great! The first two days are tough, but day 3 you will start to feel great about your choice. Good luck!!!- This May Be Inappropriate, Forgive Me :)
Lmao! Go wash your twinkie! I worked with a nurse that called it a daisy. She would say "No one likes a wilted Daisey!"- This May Be Inappropriate, Forgive Me :)

I am the same way. First thing in the morning I heat up a cup of milk and mix in my caramel chocolate protein mix from GNC. It is very yummy and warm. Helps me forget about morning coffee and I'm getting 32g of protein in. As the day wears on I have to force myself to get another shake in. I have steady lost 2 lbs per day, though I expect a stall any time now.- Last Week Of November?
Give it time. I also felt really hot and sweaty for a few days. I think it is from the hormones changing from the weight loss. Just take it easy and get in what you can. Slow and steady.- Last Week Of November?
Hello all! So I am 10 days post op and doing really well. I have lost 13 lbs! My new stomach and I are getting along well. I never had any vomiting or dry heaving. My surgeon also fixed a hiatal hernial while he was in there, and now I have no heartburn. My husband says I snore less already also. I am feeling really good, I just find or hard to get all of the fluids down. I how everyone else is doing well also.- Let's Check In November 2012 Sleevers!
I was sleeved on 11/27. I must admit that the recovery was a little more painful than I had anticipated. The hospital I am at is great and my care has been superb. My room mate is the same age as me, she had the bypass. The doctor did want to release me yesterday, but I told him that I was not comfortable with the amount of fluids I was taking in, so he let me stay an extra day. I am leaving today and feel much better about it. All I can say is walking was the biggest lifesaver. And taking pain meds constantly. I am excited to start the new me- Last Week Of November?
