  1. Good Morning fellow November sleevers! Today I am going to a Halloween party, as a dead bride. The great thing is that I am wearing my real wedding dress from 12 years ago. After I was married I always have wanted to make my dress into a costume, but never got around to it. I realized that it is now or never! Next year my huge wedding dress will NOT FIT!! Whoooohooo!
  2. My preop diet sounds about the same. I get four shakes per day plus one yogurt. My surgeon says the same thing about shrinking the liver to make it easier for them to perform the surgery.
  3. The dietary people that are associated with my Bari office gave us some recipes. A lot of them include sugare free French vanilla pudding mix and different extracts to change up the flavor.
  4. Today I checked out the extract section at my local Walmart and found some great flavones of extract that I can add to my pre op shakes. I'm getting excited to make up some concoctions! I'm sure it will get old quick
  5. I will be a November 27 sleever!
  6. George, I also am very afraid. I am a nurse and see the complications daily. I try to remind myself that the complications of being overweight for the rest of my life are much more scary. My new favorite quote is from Bill Cosby, "Decide that you want it more than you are afraid of it." We are in this together
  7. Hello fellow November sleevers!! My name is Kezia. I am 36 years old. I am married and have 3 kids, ages 20, 7, and 6. I am a LPN in a very busy ER. I am very excited/nervous to have my surgery on November 27, 2012 (no Thanksgiving dinner for me either!). I wanted to be off of work for Christmas with my family, which is why I picked this date. Plus 7 is a lucky number . All I keep thinking about is how much next summer is going to be different. I will be able to play with my kids and enjoy the outdoors! My Bari doc asked if I ever go outside because my Vit D was so low. It was funny at the time, but now I think it's just a sad statement about the state of health that I am in. I look forward to the change!
  8. I have been approved also. I chose November 27, 2012. I will be on a liquid diet for Thanksgiving!! I am so nervous/excited
