Hey guys, I'm 2 and a half weeks after surgery and I've been getting sharp left shoulder pains, but only recently I've been getting sharp pains that come and go in the left side of my tummy as well, is this normal? I haven't thrown up once yet and never get the feeling that I have over eaten or anything?

I just called my doctor and he asked me if I'm getting shortness of breath or feeling nausea, and I'm not. So he has said that its just the muscles that could be causing the pain, however if the pain does get worse to make an appointment for Tommorrow. The pain isn't unbearable but it is sharp and it does hurt when it comes. I think I'll hang out see if the pain gets worse..

Yes I did hear that the pain in my left shoulder could be trapped gas but when I started to get pain in my stomach I got a little worried, I think I will give my doctor a call just to be on the safe side.. Thanks a lot! x

Hey I just had my surgery 2 and a half weeks ago so I'm still on my soft purée diet however my mum had her surgery like 2 years ago now. And she eats everything!! She has lost about 45 kilos and has reached her goal weight and not put anything on since! Of course her meal sizes are smaller.. She still can't eat a full Big Mac!! Even so, mum finds it difficult to eat really harsh meats like steak but if she chews properly and chews her food she's fine!! Other than that.. It's like she never had the surgery!!
