  11. I had my Sleeve surgery November 14, 2012. I lost weight regularly up until this last month. As of this month it seems I can eat much more than normal and I have stopped loosing and have been stalled for a month. I have lost a total of 65 pounds but still have 65 more to go and am getting concerned that I will stay where I am. Any comments or suggestion will help!

  19. You will be supprised, your life will still be the same, you just eat smaller portions and make better choices becasue your not hungry, now you eat to live not live to eat. So I went back to work and the first day went out to lunch with the girls, I am two weeks out of surgery so I had a small cup of chicken noodle Soup and just had about 1/2 of the broth, but the conversataion was the same and being with my friends was the same, I needed that becasue I too thought it all was going to change, but it doesn't everything is the same as I said you just feel much better and it is easy to make good choices and you wont want to gorge. Dont worry it will be easier than you think and it the steps will go quickly and it is so worth it!!
  20. I am 15 days out and am doing well, down 22 pds, and am feeling good, am starting pureed food this weekend very excited, Surgery went well and was pretty easy, Most pain was the gas and then slight pain at insions but nothing bad unless you sneeze lol. Hopeing to find a support group here in Houton, if anyone knows of any please message me. thanks.
  21. Try smaller swallows, it just takes time, mine did that too, warmer fluids were easier as in room tempreture, cold seemed to make my stomach spasm. it will adventually go away. I used a sippy cup to gage how much to drink at a time, try small drinks.
  22. I am not telling my work either, (two girls know) and I think I would put it as "I have been working very hard at getting healtheir" and leave it at that. It is in no way a lie and you don't have to tell them how you are working hard just that you are. If they ask what diet say you are eating higher protine and watching your carbs, still 100% truth. Best of luch to you.
  23. Good Luck to you you will be in my prayers, I am scheduled for 11/14
  24. I met with two different doctors when deciding who I wanted to do my sleeve and one said they do a pre op diet and the other did not so I think it is just the doctor preference. The doctor I chose said they he does to shrink the liver and make a little more room to move around in you abdomen during the surgery. I like the idea just because I think maybe it will get my body ready for the new diet and won't be too shocked. Lol.
