  1. Hello All, I am working on getting my letter of medical necessity and getting my blood work sent over. I have to say my first visit was not good. I arrived at 8am and did not leave until almost 4pm....needless to say I was not pleased. I don't know why it took 8 hours for my first appointment and I hope that going forward things will move more smoothly.

  3. Congratulations! I can't wait until I can say the same thing! I have my first appointment with the bariatric surgical center on November 8th. I already know that because of my work schedule I won't be able to have the surgery until February but at least I am getting the ball rolling.
  4. Thanks for this post Suzzanesh. I wish more like you would post on here. I am just beginning this process and am really interested in the long term effects of this surgery. I am pretty sure I am going to do the sleeve. I went to my PCP today to get my letter for the bariatric center and I have my first appointment with the bariatric center on November 8th. I am trying to get approved so that I can get surgery mid-February. I know I will qualify based on my BMI being 45 and my cholestrol is high and my blood pressure runs a bit high. I am anxious about it but I know deep inside this is my only chance of ever being a normal weight.

  7. Hi, I know someone whose surgery was done by Dr. Srinivasian. She said she really liked her and recommended her to me. I have my first appointment at Emory Midtown on November 2 but with Dr. Williams.
