Thank you everyone! I really appreciate all the information you are giving. 3 Months ago I had an amazing doc picked out here in Seattle and I really wish I could stay with him, but there is no way I can get that kind of money. Mexico is my only choice left. I have heard allot of people saying really good things about it. It is just my own worries about quality and after care that keep popping up. It seems that many of you have had a very good experience though. Also, another up side to this is I fortunately don't have any other pre existing conditions that might complicate the procedure. Thanks again for all your advice. Keep it coming if anyone has anything to add. I am all ears And really appreciate it!

Hi everyone. My name is Amber. I was planing on having my vsg done here in the states, but right before scheduling I got laid off work. Now I have to figure out how to do this with the $ I have saved... but I need some help. I don't know where to start. Please, all the info u can send my way I can use. How much was it to have vsg in mexico? How long did u have to stay there? Who is a good trusted doc? What do I have to do? This and so many other questions are in my head rite now I am going crazy..lol. thanks to everyone in advance... best wishes Amber

I have dr landerholm in washingto state my surgery and 2 yrs after care is 16,500... I will be pulling it together somehow as I am also a self pay..

Hi everyone.. I have been working hard to get my credit up before looking for a loan. So I got it up to a 670 but now my medical financing is only giving me 10,500 and I need 16,500. Does anyone have any ideas on how to work out the rest without maxing out all my credit cards? And without begging someone to co-sign for me? I don't think I could aford to have multiple payments and intrest from a bunch of different cards... has anyone come into this problem? I am clear for surgery other than $$...

I just found this site yesterday and am so glad to have found so many wonderful people to get so much suport... I am glad to hear your storie. I go in for my endoscopy on fri and I have been really nervous. I am glad to hear most all of you had an easy time... this should be my last pre op test.. Just to introduce myself... My name is Amber. I am pre op at 287lb. I am about to finish up my last pre op tests this week and am trying to get my financing figures out since my insurance won't cover my sleeve. With Gods help I should have a surgery date by next week! I am so excited to have this change in my life! If anyone has any creative ideas on how to get my financing it would be great! My current loan will only cover about 70% of my bill... hope your all having a great Monday!
