  1.    defibvt reacted to a post in a topic: Hsa For Surgery In Mexico?
  2. I didn't actually purchase it since I haven't scheduled my surgery. I was just checking prices. That is ROUND TRIP! Southwest also has free checked bags and great service.
  3. If you have Southwest, they are a great deal. I think you have to book through them, though - not Priceline or another discount airline. The price from Minneapolis is about $270 vs $1000 for other airlines!
  4. Did anyone use an HSA account to pay for surgery in Mexico? Are you allowed to use it for international surgery? I am assuming you can since it is set up like a regular savings account with a credit card and checks. We have a decent amount of money saved in our HSA, but our insurance has an exclusion and will not cover bariatric surgery. Anybody have advice?
  5. Does anyone know if you can use an HSA account for surgery in Mexico? It works just like a regular bank account. We have a credit card and a checks in order to access the money in the account. As far as I know, we can use it for any medical bills. However, I am not positive about using it for international surgery. I intend to contact our tax guy this week, but I thought some of you may know. Thanks!
