  1. Hi It has been a long fight with the enemy - my weight and now I have done something about it. I was banded on Tuesday June 26 and already it has been a week and finally I am starting to feel human. I have had enough of the liquids phase but I have to stick with it for another 3 weeks. I think by then I will be completely sick of soup and will not want any for 10 years. I must get creative and come up with some interesting combinations. At this point I think I miss bread the most, after my 2 weeks pre-op diet and now the liquid phase it will be a long time before I get to remind myself of the taste. My last supper before the op I had some bread but I was let down as it was not as good as I was working myself up to. I was disappointed but next time it will be worth it. I have lost some weight pre-op (3 kg) and I think a little more over this last week but I don't help when I eat ice cream for dinner. We have run out of icecream so no more of that. Finally my bowels have returned to normal (yee ha:clap2:) but I will keep with the process to ensure I never get constipated again. Anyway that is enough for now, until next time dear diary.

Great Fleur! I had my op a week ago and will be using you as my inspiration. I can't wait until it says 20kg for me too! Just think you will never be that big again and I bet you look great now. Congratulations.
