  1. You'll be fine, just follow the advice of the surgeon. "Don't clean or pick at the incisions until it heals". I learned my lesson.
  2. It happened to me once too. About 2 weeks out. I was cleaning the glue off and accidentally pulled the scab off. So I kept poking at it. And the next thing I knew I was having hot flashes and I felt nauseated to the point of throwing up and I was sweating and cold all at the same time. I had to get out the shower and lay down. After about ten min I felt fine, like it never happened. I think it was because the incision area is very sensitive and it put our nerves out of whack! It's never happened again only that one time.... Although I did stop touching the incisions.... Lol!
  3. Lol thank you! And it's a great feeling to fit the airplane seat belt, you will feel so normal when you fly in December. I fly a lot and I didn't realized How much it stressed me out until this current trip. Smh gotta love those little victories!
  4. That will be great!! I have been in a stall for the pass week, but it's seems to be normal at this point. I will be cleared for full exercise this week. I can't wait to start. I'm getting bored of walking lol. Btw my name's Mona.

  6. I would like to be added to the group as well. I was sleeved Oct 2nd. Mona Guillermo.
  7. You sound perfectly normal. I am 3 1/2 weeks post. But one week out I felt I was going crazy being stuck in the house, had no desire to eat or drink. They say it has to do with the anesthesia leaving your body and hormones. But just take it one day at a time. I slept with a bottle Water and had to set the alarm to remind me to eat. And taking mini walks outside helped a lot! Now I feel great and have mostly forgotten how yucky I felt the first week. Hang in there and just take one day at a time. And don't worry to much on hitting that 64oz a day liquid and Protein mark. I still struggle but everyday I get closer. Good luck!

As far as what i brougt to the hospital... lets see, just the clothes on my back and my phone. The hospital provided everything else, even my toothbrush. I didnt need chapstick the nurses had mouth swaps for me that kept my mouth moist so i didnt get to the point of chapped lips. Good luck!!!

  15. Good luck tomorrow, and spend the rest of the day getting hydrated!!!! It really helped me a lot. Because you'll be waiting around a lot and can't drink anything tomorrow!!!
  16. I'm on pepsid twice a day. But I'm between my doctor recommend gas-x chewable. And it works great! Some nights I've had to chew one and it helped.
  17. I like the unflavored. 1 scoop has 21g of protien. I mix it with crystal light strawberry. I also put it in my Jello cups. It does change the color of the jello and crystal light. And with trail and error you can adjust The sweetness. But it's great to add a little more Protein during the day. The chocolate flavored shake is the only one a like. Mixed with skim milk its not bad. I really enjoy the chicken broth. And they have a few recipes for that as well that I haven't tried. Order the sample pack first, that helped me a lot. hope this helps.
  18. You're absolutely right..... But it's just soooo hard not to! Lol!
  19. Yes I've done scrambled eggs for stage 2. I can also purée chicken with a teaspoon of fat free gravy and a little water. It was awesome and I tolerated it just fine.
