    Ladies HELP!

You look great!!! Do not stress. Love the dress on you!!
  2. I have reached my goals and I know these are on the smaller size but I have sizes 10, 8 and I think 6, medium and large tops available. Willing to just give away, paying it forward. These are nice clothes mostly designer labels or high end. I wore a lot of this stuff to my job which is business casual so it is work oriented but causal stuff too.
  3. I am a certified professional coder and work as Physician Educator for Henry Ford Hospital.

    Sex... Oh My God... Sex!

Best thread ever!! Making me laugh and good for you!!!! As a female my sex drive has also doubled.
  5. I am now almost post-op 9 months and I have exceeded my weight loss goal. My goal weight was 145 and my dream weight would be 138. I am now down to 125 and very thin. I have for the most part, had a great experience with this whole process and truly believe this was the best thing. However, I have felt even in the 130's that I was getting too thin looking and was trying to figure out ways to either maintain or gain. I stick to a lot of Protein, then veggies, then starch. I have tried Keifer, Peanut Butter, etc and nothing is really helping me keep it on. I cannot stomach the shakes anymore, they make me sick, I have tried everything to make them better. Was fine before surgery but after surgery they have become my enemy. I have tried pushing it with eating more and to the point where I was vomiting 2 of the 3 meals and they even did an emergency EGD to make sure no strictures or obstructions and I do not have either. So here I am, 9 months post op, I can eat maybe 2 oz of food at a sitting. If I go more, I got from a stomach pain level of 2-9 in minutes. Either I end up vomiting or try to work through the pain. I actually just decreased from 3-4 oz because I could no longer stand the pain/vomiting scenario. Where is everyone else with the amounts they can eat? Is anyone else having these issues? I know I have gotten really thin when my dad called me this weekend and said Beth, enough of the weight loss, you are WAY TOO THIN. Last week, I had several friends and even doctors tell me the same thing. When I look at all the scales of BMI I can technically go down to 115lbs before I am considered underweight, but really, when I tell people I am at 125 lbs they say no way, I look like I am 110. What would I look like at 115? YIKES. I have spoken to the nutritionist about this, she is a nut case I think. She told me I am not thin enough yet and that was when I was at 134. So really, I am reaching out to everyone that has suggestions, or experiences that can relate to this and give me some feedback. Thank you everyone!!!

    Dr Carlin and I

From the album: Before, During and After

This was taken today (4/25/13) at the awards ceremony to celebrate that I got below a 30 BMI. Since I started the weight loss program at Henry Ford Hospital - Detroit, I have lost a total of 77 lbs. It has been quite the journey and the best part is my surgeon gave to me the best gift ever...life.

    13 Month Difference

    From the album: Changes

This is the difference in what 13 months make when I decided to get the surgery and to just this past week. I am post-op now 5 months and while I am stalling some, I am very happy with the results. I am down a total of 94 pounds. I would struggle to walk and now not only do I walk 2 times a day but I am also jogging and going to run a 5k in June. Huge lifestyle changes for me have but nothing but positive results.

    Changes

  9. I am three pounds from my goal weight and 13 pounds from my "Dream" weight. I cannot believe how far I have come. I moved from a 41 BMI and inching close to a normal BMI. I think one of the more exciting things, is my son is deployed and he hasn't seen me since January. When he comes home in August, he will be shocked in the change in me. I honestly cannot stress how happy I am. It has been a journey some good days, some bad days but in the big scheme of things WOW...best decision...

  10. From the album: Before, During and After

The picture on the left is the picture that made my final decision real, I knew I had to do something. The one of the right is exactly one year later. (no I didnt grow, my daughter isnt wearing her heels lol) BEST DECISION EVER - Thank you Dr Carlin (Henry Ford Hospital) :-)
  11. I finally am posting as it is just over a year since I decided that I was going to go ahead and do surgery. Started off at 240lbs with a BMI of just over 41. After all the insurance dances I had to do, fulfilling the requirements I had my surgery in Nov 2012. Today I am down to 151 lbs. I have gone from a size 22 to a size 8/6 depending on brand. Too many people do not recognize me and I look completely and totally different. I just have been at a huge stall and need to finish up to get to my...

  12. Reading this is like food porn. I cannot wait to have soft foods!!! All these suggestions are great though. Looking forward to my 1st post op visit next week to see if I can advance some. Eating some kidney beans really mushed up and protein shakes, greek yogurt and creamed soup.

  14. Some people are insensitive to what comes out of their mouth. You cannot control it and all you can really do is state you feel that it is an inappropriate statement. Usually makes them feel awkward and takes the issue off you and focuses back on them. Surgery is NOT the easy way out. By far, it is very hard and has so many risks attached too it. Your absolutely right the easy way out is to not do anything and continue to gain weight. Don't let her rude comments bring you down at all...your looking GREAT!!! Keep up the hard work :-)
  15. There are is one in Grosse Pointe Park that is nice specifically for woman 10 - up. They always have nice stuff. We have a lot on the east side. Let me know what you are specifically looking for and I will put together a list. There are also some really nice ones in St Clair Shores and up in Clinton Twp.
