1. So I try to make new dishes for my family a couple of times a week just so it doesnt get boring. This morning I made a new breakfast that looked so good. It was wierd not being able to taste it.
2. Yup. Every night I make these great meals for my family and I can't have it. Phooey! On the plus side I am down 10 lbs this week alone from it. My date is Oct 22 and I am so excited I even put a countdown app on my phone!
3. I don't know why but I feel guilty. On my pre-op diet I am allowed 1 serving of lean meat and green veggies for dinner only. Well after a week I really needed (wanted) something filling. So I thought it out and sauteed some lean ground turkey, jalepenos, green pepper and green onion and some taco seasoning. I wrapped in lettuce and it was really good. I don't think I actually cheated but I feel like I did.
4. How upsetting! People suck most of the time and need to make themselves feel better by cutting down others. I am a very private person and wondered what I was going to tell my co-workers. They will probably suspect when I start losing a lot of weight.
5. I had been doing really good on my pre-op diet and wasn't suffering too much ... Until this training. My schedule is so screwed up. I still haven't cheated but I am miserable and seem to be hungry all the time.
6. I never noticed how bad people ate until I couldn't have it.
7. So far so good ... Drinking lots of water.
8. Ahh! On my pre-op diet in a training session and they have brought in snacks!
9. It is awesome to see other people think the same way I do. I love the one about having to mental map your way through a restaurant! I do that. I am sick of hiding from cameras (and untagging myself on facebook when they finally catch me). I want to go on the go carts and actually believe it is a slow car and not my fat behind slowing it down. To go horseback riding with my daughter and not worry that I am too heavy for the horse. To be able to go on the zip line next summer in Jamaica. To quit buying clothes for my daughter that she doesnt like because I wish I could wear them. Oh the list could go on ...
10. Should I pack PJs or will they make me wear the ugly well ventilated gown?
11. Scheduled for surgery Oct 22 in Houston! Can't wait!
12. So I just bought a cute dress! I thought I got a great deal. I get outside and realize its see-through! Oh well. Will be great over a bathing suit.
13. Today is day 2 of pre-op diet and it is much better. Yesterday got so bad my emotions were even out of whack. Today I feel good. Hope it keeps getting easier. I admit that while I changed some of my habits before I was officially approved I did not follow everything because I was afraid my insurance would deny it if I lost weight. You know the whole "see you can do it if you try" kind of thing. I can do it initially I just have a hard time sticking with it, but I think that is a lot of people. Going to buy my "motivation" dress today. It is this sexy little sun dress I want to wear when we go to Jamaica next June.
14. My date is October 25. I started the pre-op diet today which is a week early. I will be on a business trip that week and figured that would be a bad time to start. Today has been rough. Very drained.
