  1. Wow! You look amazing! Congrats!
  2. I am a little over 3 months post op. I have lost more inches than weight which is great! I am experiencing some issues though. I can't seem to control my calories. I keep in mind that I want high protein and low carbs/fat. I don't usually concern myself with a caloric number, but here is my pattern: for a week I will average anywhere from 500-709 calories then I will go a week or so that I can't eat more than 150-250 calories a day! I can't get any nutrition or food in and if I do try to eat little bits at a time, I throw up within 10 minutes of eating! It is unnerving bc those weeks I don't lose weight and last week I gained! I'm struggling. The weight is coming off and so are the inches, but I literally can't eat some weeks! Anyone else having issues? DOS: 8/28/12- 276. Lbs Last weigh in (last week) 231 and down 47 inches total... There are my stats!
  3. I had my surgery on August 28, 2012. I am 5'3 and started at 275lbs. I am 2 months out and currently weigh 241. While I am happy about the weight loss, I don't see it. I eat around 600 calories average per day, mostly protein And I drink water constantly. I am averaging only1 lb a week. I have never nada stall but I am frustrated because .5-1 lb a week is slow! Anybody have advise on how to get my body moving a little faster????
  4. Date sleeved:8/28/12 Start weight: 276.4 Weight today: 247.2 What you eating and how much daily: 400-600 cal Daily work out: walking, not set program How hungery are you?: not very. Sometimes in the morning I am hungry, but not too bad How you feel physically: very exhausted daily! How you feel emotionally: drained/ depressed! WHY!?! Are you glad you chose the sleeve?: so far I am Anything extra to say?: battling my emotions and dealing with some stress lately has tested my sleeve and will power! So far, I have conquered! Feeling like I am not losing bc I can't see it! Agh

  6. I am 5'3 and started my journey at 275lbs. I was sleeved on 8/28. As of today, I have lost a total of 28 lbs, I am down to 248 and a total of 33.4 inches! I can't see it yet and I have a distorted way of looking at myself, but many people have commented on the changes they see. Just wanted to share
  7. I have not experienced a "stall" as of yet. I am getting ready to start week 6 post op. I have noticed that after week 3 my weight loss slowed dramatically (1-2 lbs/week) I have lost a total of 27.7 lbs as of last weeks weigh in. I am terrified I'm going to hit a stall and already feel like the weight loss is slow! Agh
  8. I will start tracking! What is MFP?
  9. Thank you everyone e for your replies! I am drinking around 50 oz of liquid a day. I am still trying to hit 64 oz but have trouble getting that in without gulping and still eating, but each day I get a little closer. As for protein shakes, my stomach no longer handles them. I try to get as much protein as I should by my food. I eat alot of chicken, tuna, cheese, beans, and just bought some protein bars.
  10. Surgery was 8/28. I am 39 days out and I am feeling some frustration 1. I have lost 27 lbs, my weight loss is 1-2 lbs a week. Am I on track? Is this normal? I feel like I should see a difference in myself or my clothes, but I don't! 2. I can't tell when I am full! I eat a very small amount of food and I take 15-30 minutes to eat, but I always stop too late, I feel sick almost everytime I eat and if I less, I get hungry within a few hours. Does this ever stop? 3. I am exhausted. I take all of my Vitamins, I get good sleep every night and I just get overwhelmingly exhausted everyday within hours of waking up. Does anyone else go through this? Surgery 8/28/12 Weight DOS- 275.6 Current weight- 248.2
  11. 9/25/12: 250lbs (down 25 in 30 days!!!) Surgery 8/28/12 Start weight: 275 Start contest: 257

  15. My surgeon tested for a leak before I ever came out of surgery, but I have been having some issues with nausea and diarrhea that he is just checking to be safe. I go in on Monday morning
  16. I am terrified! I have to have a leak test done on Monday! I am already nauseous and not holding things down very well. I am 3 weeks out! Yikes!!!
  17. I have not been to my pcp. I wet to the surgeon immediately. I am on Prilosec OTC and Zofran for nausea. I have become intolerant from all foods and liquids. I am scared of dehydration and malnutrition. I still eat and drink the best I can, but I am miserable. I am tired beyond belief, weak, in pain and waiting til Monday when I will have a C dif test and upper GI. This is day 7 of diarrhea.
  18. Thanks! I have been to my surgeon 3 times this week and the nutritionist. I hvent been able to keep protein shakes down and even water is starting to become hard to keep down. I am worried about dehydration setting in before my tests Monday
  19. I am 22 days post op. I am down 18 inches and 20 lbs. I have now run into some complications: diarrhea, stomach pains, horrible nausea... I am on day 6 suffering with this. Going in for a C-dif test and upper GI Monday- anyone had these issues related to the VGS? Looking for any suggestions for relief or anyone who can relate!
