  1. Now a days I'm loosing a pound a week. Started at 258 and I'm now at 202 slow and steady but at least I'm loosing and not gaining. Surgery was 9/14 56lbs down!!! I'm 32lbs from my goal weight.
  2. Thanks happily sleeved and neilsleeved it's nice to know I'm not alone!!! We just have to keep on going even if its at this slow of a pace, like others said before, it's better than gaining!!
  3. Thanks everyone for your words of encouragement!!!
  4. Absolutely, I would have never been able to lose 49lbs in four months otherwise. It's just a little discouraging when you've lost so much and now it starts to slow down, I was hoping it would slow down after I was below 200-lol, only 9 more to get out of here!!! lol

    Hair loss/thinning

Absolutely Kix03, we're all probably nowhere near what we use to eat, plus it was one of the first warnings my doctor gave me, I was just hoping it wouldn't happen to me!! Oh well what can you do, it'll get better!!

    Hair loss/thinning

I've lost tons of hair but most of that is my fault since I'm not on top of taking my multi vitamins. I use to have hair down to my waist, I recently chopped it off to my shoulders, hopefully it will stop falling off soon..
  9. Surgery: 9/14/2012 Pre-Op Weight: 258 Current Weight: 214 Weight Lost: 44 Everyone's body is different, some lose faster than others, I too have my slow weeks but keep in mind we would probably have never been able to lose this much weight at this pase without the surgery. Good luck everyone!!
  10. I feel better as well, I thought my weight loss was slow.
  11. Sleeved 9/14, starting weight was 258, I'm now at 241, down 17lbs. I stalled the second week so I started working out and it gave it a push.
  12. My pre-op weight was 258 I now at 241, down 17lbs in 3 weeks. I'm able to tolerate soft foods, how's everyone else doing?
  13. Down 17lbs starting weight 258 now 241, thought I was loosing slow but after reading everyone's posts I see everyone is different :-)
  14. Thank you and good luck to everyone that provided positive support to my comment yesterday, I'm new at this and like everything else it's a learning process..... To those who felt the need to judge me, really, are you that perfect??? However, good luck to you as well.
  15. I'm actually starting to get pretty aggravated myself, my surgery was September 14, the firt week was fine, I was hardly hungry had small meals every couple of hours and managed to lose 12 lbs. my second week I feel like I can eat more than what I'm suppose to, especially things they told me I would most likely not be able to tolerate the first month. I am eating less than what I ate prior to surgery but recently I tried having a burger, just the meat, and didn't seem to have a problem. I weighed myself this morning and I gained 2lbs. I don't know what to do at this point, the doctor's nurse and nutritionist told me to try drinking more water for now until I see him next week.....
  16. I was sleeved September 14, came home last night. The gas pains were the worst today I feel much better!!! I just got on the scale and I'm down 7lbs since I started my liquid diet. The process is hard it's not for everyone but according to all the outcomes I've been reading the sacrifice is all worth it in the end. Good luck everyone!!
  17. I'm actually in the hospital as I write this, I had my Operation yesterday. I decided to come on here because I was concerned of the chest pains I was having and was curious to see if anyone else experienced the same. Reading this makes me feel a lot better, I guess I'm on my way!!
