  1. That's wonderful to hear and to see that she has an awesome cheerleader on her side!! That means a whole lot and in this process and life change, that's the support we r going to need. I pray not just a speedy recovery but a healthy recovery in all aspects of this new chapter for not only your wife but you and ur family. Continue to be encouraged and keep her encouraged! Well wishes to you as u become one of the biggest loooooosssersss!!
  2. What a great story!! Its good to hear that ur home and ur doing well. U have allowed my nerves to calm down a lil bit more. I'm in the position as a couple others ....excited but nervous at the same time. My surgery is scheduled for Oct. 5 and I'm counting down the days...13 more!!!! I wish you well and pray that you will continue to stay in good spirits and focused on this life changing process that's ahead of you. Be blessed!
  3. Yeah....thats true. A girlfriend of mine had gastric in April and she did well where as a girl we both know had a lot of problems even going back n the hospital.
  4. Oh....ok! I see some things that I have to look to getting thru...as well as u will be. I get my chest xrays done tomorrow and on the 17th I see my surgeon and anesthesiologist and my surgery on Oct 5. Wow I already have an issue with some smells, I can only imagine what its gonna be like after surgery. Well, continue to keep ur head up and be encouraged and focused thru this change of life. I wish u all the best of what's ahead.

  6. Omg....u hit it on the nose with the first one....lol!!! I get soooo frustrated and then get one outfit together, put it on and then I'm like nope ...not working for me. Then I get mad and wanna stay home.

  8. I was just thinking, I may have to change that to "Lighter Dayz" bcuz my wedding theme may be, "Brighter Dayz", since my new last name to be is going to be, Bright. Oh well....I'm still looking forward to it all!

  11. Lots of good ideas. Hmmmm.....my bucket list: 1.Jet skiing 2.Wear a 2 piece bathing suite 3.Having the vision that I see of me coming down the isle in my dream wedding gown and feeling on top of the world on that day. 4.Being able to wear nice sexy dresses to nice slacks to even jeans without feeling uncomfortable or marks on my stomach or having to wear an xtra undergarment to make my clothes look like something. 4.Go horseback riding 5.Lol....dance for my fiancée with his favorite football jersey on and a pair of stilettos without getting tired sooner than I'd like to and to also feel more confident while doing it. 6.Both of my daughters are cheerleaders so I'd like to be able to have the energy to want to be out there with them and not wanna just be home. And to do a cartwheel again and not be scared....lol 7.I loooovvveeee dancing. Id like to take up an African dance and or Hip Hop. I WILL be doing Zumba without a doubt. 8.Do more with my girls without getting tired so fast 9.Shop in the NON PLUS SIZE SIDE 10Help encourage others that may be dealing with weight loss thru my story how they to can get back to good health.
  12. To all of u that have just been sleeved, first off congrats to you for making a major decision in ur health and taking this step to a healthier happier life!! Continue to stay strong and focused in this process....for I to will be in your shoes in 27 more days. I had my pre op test and blood work done, have to get chest xrays on Monday. I'm excited but nervousness tries to set in often. I wish u all the best, and pray for a healthy recovery and to the best days of the rest of ur lives!!!!
  13. I'm from Maryland and my surgery is scheduled for Oct. 5 at Johns Hopkins by Dr. Lidor.
  14. Oh...ok! My surgery will be at Johns Hopkins as well....Dr. Lidor. A girlfriend of my had the gastric bypass done at Hopkins by Dr. Lidor and she said she has great bedside manners. She's really nice and easy to talk to. Good luck to u with your procedure!
  15. My surgery date is Oct 5. Is their anyone with that date? Better yet, in Maryland? I'm so excited, but a lil nervous, but more excited to the count down to the start of a new and healthy MEEEE!!! Not only for myself but for my kids and my fiancée!
