I was sleeved on 10/10. I don't know if it is because I have 4 children one of which is only 1 1/2 but my abdomen seems to be reacting to this trauma by doing braxton hicks feeling contractions does anyone else have these types of contraction feelings? Hopefully my abdkmen will figure out it isn't going to have to deliver this "sleeve baby"soon
Well I am home from surgery on 10/10/12 apparently my body didn't really like anesthesia because I spent 4+ hours in recovery. Thankfully, I don't remember any of it but when I got back to the room I was so drowsy I couldn't move at all for quite a while, then came the n/v but like magic around 6am I started feeling so much better! (i think I finally got anest. Out of my system) now I am dealing with some moderate pain (mainly around my umbelical hernia repair) And having a very hard time getting enough fluids.(so full!) I am sure this too shall pass and I am looking forward to feeling well and joining everyone on the loosers bench!
A few days ago I just called the number provided Rick wasn't the person that answered I said that I had read that this is the number to call to get Nectar samples they said that the deal now is now 14 flavors for $14 plus 1.99 shipping I gave them my info etc.... Waiting for the samples to arrive
I feel the same way I have a hard time getting all the food on my pre-op diet in too... I think I am just used to eat 2 giant meals a day and running around like a starving mad person the rest. It is really weird to actually have to stop myself 5 times a day to eat something. Good practice though
Ok random statement as our dates are getting closer... As a sugical nurse I know when patients get laparoscopic surgery (like we will) it is a lot easier (and more pleasent) when people clean their belly buttons out prior to surgery... Just saying
Hello October sleevers! Add me to the list on 10/10 I am a 30 year old mother of 4 (11, 9, 3, 1 1/2) and a nurse from Portland, OR... Hoping for a speedy recovery so I can get back to chasing children
I just scheduled my surgery for October 10th with Dr. Patterson! I am so excited!!! I am a surgical nurse so I see surgery all the time (although we don't do Bariatric surgery at my hospital) but this is my first time having surgery I am also super excited to have Dr. Patterson because everyone I talk to tells me what a talented surgeon she is
