  1. After the initial recovery time and feeling confident in my ability to stay hydrated, I thought I was in a position to really enjoy the weight loss and my new life. I recently had a bout of constipation. I took some mild pill laxatives and it helped. But during and since then I have been feeling pain again similar to that I felt right after the surgery. I think it feels similar to the inflammation we experience. Can constipation cause this? Is what I'm feeling inflammation? It feels the same as when I was first in to recovery. It has me a bit worried. Maybe I should go back on liquids for a few days. Any insight would be so appreciated.
  2. Wow. I was on the forum today looking for this exact post. I'm 4- 1/2 weeks PO and lately mornings are really difficult. It's really hard to find something to get down as my empty stomach feels awful. Plus I also feel dehydrated in the a.m. So I am kinda scrambling to get fluids down. Please tell me as I continue to heal, this phase will subside.
  3. I'm in my third week and feel like Ive been really making great progress. Focusing on staying hydrated and keeping everything soft that goes in. The weight loss is phenomenal. My peak was 334 and I'm at 285 now. I prob know the answer already but is it normal to have a bad day? I've felt weak and yucky all day. Hard time drinking water and anything in my mouth just was not feeling welcome. Appreciate any thoughts and experiences. I forget that I'm still in the early stages and in my head I expect everything to be normal. I get tired so easily. Yet some days I'm livin the food life.
  4. Also. Going into a stage where I need to focus on protein. 60g a day seems intimidating. Any tricks or advice. I'm still trying to get enough water/fluid in me and that seems like quite challenge.
  5. One of the big Qs I have is does it get easier to drink water. My biggest challenge is keeping hydrated. I'm constantly sipping something but I notice I wake up in the morning and am quite dehydrated. Before surgery I was a water guzzler and don't have that option any longer. I don't expect I will be able to guzzle anything in the future but does it get easier to drink?
