  2. 259 this an boy talk about feeling like this was a mistake! I have done this kind of lost and gain without a surgery that nearly killed me. Ugh!!! So week 1 and 2 I lose 19lb Week 3 I gain 2lbs!!!!! What will week 4 bring that begins today?? I feel like my doctor will think I did not follow my program which I am 100% I curse you 3 week stall I curse you!!!!!!
  3. That's the plan just holding on to the boot camp for later use.
  4. Hope you enjoined your shake!
  5. The muscle milk light is good tasting also. Save the calories go with premier from Sam's club or muscle milk lite that you can find in many grocery stores.
  6. Iggy I get where your coming from and that the cookie or toast is not worth the pain. For the record I am sticking to my purée. With some doctor's allowing all food following a few days of liquid I don't think we can say anyone food is a risk if chewed properly. I think it is a splendid idea to purée what you can't resist at least the consistency of food should be right. The issue to be is patterns of behavior. We must set better pattern for good results
  7. I think when you have lived through a rare complication it seems you need to warn others. Iggy has lived through the hell of a leak. My complication incase you don't know was a cut to small bowel because of scar tissue. I feel the need for every person to be checked before surgery but at such a very small percentage of bowel cutting accidents I know it is not going to happen. My complication came from surgeon error plain and simple so I can't tell people how to prevent it. If like Iggy I thought I could help others by telling them not to do this or that I would. We do however need the voice of reason that having done the research can tell us what the medical norm is suppose to be. We can't operate off the worst case rare complications are going to get us all if we don't watch out but we certainly can't ignore them either. We all need balance of optimistic hope and caution of possible complications a mix of Iggy and Mason do this.
  8. Thank you I will keep it for future use and hopefully others can find it useful now.
  9. I have heard of the boot camp but do not know it's details. Thanks iggy I will search.
  10. Three weeks to day and although that is not a normal sleeping position for me I could do that.
  11. Mason Thank you for a most interesting read. I am at 21 days today. I am on purée for another week and plan to stay that way just to be safe. However your information is good to know so when I move to soft foods next week I won't be so scared.
  12. I know your right ladies but I sure have been through a lot to be in a stall already!
  13. The sensible side of me says it is impossible to gain weight when I am not getting 700 calories a day however the scale says I have! When I visited the doc at 2 weeks out I was 257 Dow from 277 pre op. I was moved to purée and my cholesterol and high blood meds where stopped. My BP meds had a small amount of Fluid pill mixed in. So I am thinking that may be part of the issue; my body might be retaining fluid. I am sipping Water or decaf tea/coffee all day except for the 30 before/ 30 after I eat. I am only eatting 3 times a day. Breakfast is 30 gram Protein shake and then get the other 30 in purée foods at lunch and dinner. I do not get 64oz but I am getting close as I phyisically can. I am walking about as much as possible, although I am not allowed to do any heavy workout yet. I am at a lost as to what I can do to start the loss up again! Any help welcome!
  14. Leaks are a big fear of mine so I read a lot of threads concerning them. I am not in any way advocating eatting wrong but many do and post of their slip ups and progress without issue. Also we are all aware of how much doctors orders vary. Some doctors have no restrictions following surgery and others have weeks of liquids only prior to and following many weeks after. I am suspecting leaks are more often caused my faulty staple lines or skin deteriorating around staple line than by wrong foods busting them open. That said I guess we should do all we can to be sure we don't bust a staple but I fear in the end it is all just bad luck, doctor misstaple, or bad tummy tissue that is goning to get us. One cookie will not defeat you it is the pattern of behaviour that will determine your future.
  15. Think those storms are coming our(NC) way tomorrow, praying you stay safe!
  16. Glad to hear your husband is home. Praying you have your own Christmas miracle and have no pain.
  17. Yes you are going to make it! You are in my prayers, I am asking the Lord to let your husband find the Tylenol so you might have some relief. Glad you made it home.
  18. Checking in to see if you got home yet?
  19. Not heard of it before but premier is 160 for 30 grams so it sounds calorie to protein ratio not so good.
  20. Just returned from Christmas Eve gathering! Not easy!
  21. Praying you have a perfect experienced
