Hi All, I've been lirking on this site for about a month. I've read just about every post and wow this is an amazing site and I'm glad I found it. So since I know all about you guys I'd like to share a bit about me. I'm 33..ugh 34 in 3 weeks and I've been exploring the LB option for about a year. I've been extremely fat for most of my life and am now only 3lbs under my heaviest. This past January I finally decided it was right for me. Everyone in my "inner circle" at first thought I was doing this for vaniety reasons. Yes part of it is vaniety but the biggest part is that I want children and I want most of all to live to see them grow-up and at the rate I'm going thats not going to happen. Anyway, I've met with my surgeon Dr. von Rueden and did all of the pre-op stuff and I now pray that I never have to have another upper gi in my life...anyway I digress.. Yesterday I received a call from my surgeon's office to say that my insurance has approved it and now I'm waiting for a surgery date. The nurse said I should hear something by the end of the week and surgery most likely will be by the end of June!!! Thanks for reading...and happy shrinking! Gail
