  1. Dr Angstadt is great! He was courteous efficient, and really friendly. I was sleeved by him on 8/14 and I was sent home the following afternoon. Mercy hospital where I had the surgery is the cleanest I have ever seen. Everyone is nice and helpful. So far an awesome experience.
  2. My friend Jessica had her surgery done with him. Are you getting a sleeve or a band?
  3. I am so thankful for all the support guys. When I woke up in recovery room, I thought I was dying. I feel much better now but I am still in a lot of pain.
  4. Well I'm off to the hospital....last few hours of the old Raquel...Soon to be new and improved! I'm excited, nervous, scared and even still a bit incredulous. So glad that its finally happening.
  5. Thanks you guys its good to know that they won't give me a hard time...
  6. He doesn't know yet. My surgery is the first one of the day, 8 a.m. Boy am I nervous.
  7. So yesterday I admitted to cheating on my 10 day liquid diet. My sister told me about Epsom salt as a laxative. So I said what the heck, let me try it. So far so good to spare everyone the tmi all I'm going to say is that its a bit gassy
  8. Thanks guys for the support. I don't want the surgeon to tell me that he will postpone my surgery, but nonetheless I'll still fess up.
  9. My family always have said "when she finds herself a boyfriend she'll lose weight". Oh yea... I'm married and have a three year old, and I'm still fatter than heck.
  10. My surgery is on Tuesday and so far it hasn't been that bad. But tonight I cheated and had a slice of pizza and few chips:(. I feel like a failure, but more importantly will my surgeon be able to tell? I have waited so long for this, having been denied 3 times because of insurance politics. What should I do? Confess to the surgeon or keep quiet?
