gordie, This happens to me sometimes too. I have to be careful to not eat anything for quite a few hours before bed. If I don't and I drink anything, I have this problem too. It's like my pouch is still full and the fluid doesn't make it's way all the way down. I was having a real hard time with it for a while. Hope it gets better for you.

WOW, I just found this thread and it's like you were writing my story. I've been married since 1990. My husband cheated on me the first time during our 1st year of marriage. I, too, always said I wouldn't put up with that- unti, you are in the situation- you really don't know what you will really do. He's had many "strays" over the years, and my weight had increased as well (maybe due to a depression that I refused to admit). The last time I found out of an actual, lengthy Affair was in 2004. It was all that you mentioned- actually sick to my stomach, nightmares- the whole thing. It took time and I eventually decided to "suck it up"- mainly because my self-esteem was so low. In 2007 I decided to get the band. I needed to lose weight for MYSELF! As I began to lose weight, I gained back my self-esteem. Now, even though he's been "good" I am second guessing my decision to stay. Each day I realize more & more that I don't want to be here anymore. I also have kids, 9, 15 & 18. He also does not "get it". He doesn't understand why I don't want to be married if he hasn't done anything wrong "lately". I feel bad hurting his feelings now. He gets sad, says he still loves me and I just would give anything to stay at work all day and not come home to him. I hope I can get to the place where you are and can go out on my own. I'm not sure how to proceed.

Hey Michelle, I'm in Riverside as well. I see your band date is coming up quickly. I've been banded since May of 07 and I love it. Who's doing your band?

I had TT about 3 years ago, also before my band was placed. I wish I had known about the mons lift myself. At the time I didn't think it was really an issue, but as I have lost more weight, I now see this "pudgy area" that bothers me. I intend on having a lateral thigh lift one of these days and may see about lipo or a lift in this area as well.

Hi Echokitty- I had Dr Liu also. I am 5 ft also and started out at 218. Now am down to 155. I feel great but have stopped losing. I'm at a plateau, but I have not been exercising like I know I'm supposed to. If you wanna chat, drop me a line. Tamjpjb@aol.com. Tami

Last night I wore my "Snow White" costume that I wore 20 years ago when I was in High School. I could not believe that it fit, actually, it was a bit loose! Yea Me!

Hi Jen, My name is Tami. I went to Dr Liu in OC- near CHOC in Orange. He's great! I have nothing but positive things to say about him. I am 5ft tall myself and started out at 218 (sz 22/24) and am down to a loose 12 jeans! I'd love to answer any questions you may have. Good luck with your journey.

Hi Mary, Yes, I had my TT 3 years ago then regained about 25 lbs. That was when I decided that I really needed to get to the root of my problem and stop yo-yo dieting. I got the band put in last year and have lost 60+ lbs and I am so hapy. I didn't have an complications. In fact, my doctor said that he sees it alot- guess it's quite common. My weight loss has been proportioned and I am very happy with m results. Feel free to contact me if you want to talk.

Hey Becky, I had my TT with Lipo done in OC with Dr Joseph T Cruise. He was fantastic! I am super happy with my results and didn't have any problems. In fact, I'm thinking of going back now for a thigh lift. I trust him completely! He's in Newport Beach.

Things are going well, Bugs57- Thanks for asking. I feel good. This morning I was able to squeeze into a size 12 jeans and I am super excited! I haven't been in a 12 in about 15 years! Yea for me! My weight loss is slow, but I see the inches coming down.

Guess I didn't think about it like that....you're right. I should be happy that I've been able to lose weight with such little restriction.

WOW! I feel like a super-WIMP! I only have 2.0cc in my 10cc band. I tried 2.1 and I think it was just too much. I had really bad heartburn all the time and could hardly keep anything down. Yesterday had that 0.1cc removed and I feel great. I was able to eat a small, normal lunch today and haven't had any problems so far.

My weight loss has been slow with long periods of plateau and then I notice my size change, then eventually a drop in the pounds. WOW, keiko- 9cc in a 10cc band. I feel like a wimp! I had 2.1cc and couldn't handle it. My doctor removed 0.1 yesterday and now I feel great with only 2.0. Melissa- hope your DH's recovery goes well, and also hope you were able to take yourself on that shopping spree!

Thanks LauraP, I think the fill had just kicked in. I was feeling tighter and wasn't able to eat much without it coming back up. I went on liquids for a bit and I seem to be doing better. The heartburn has eased up and I am able to eat a little more- of course I have to wait until about 1pm before I can get solid food down. Only liquids- protein drinks in the am. Thanks for your input- I think it eased my nerves a bit. Tami

I wanted to know if anyone has experienced any heartburn after having a fill. Last week (thursday) I went in for a fill. I had been at 1.9cc and increased only up to 2.1cc. Not a dramatic increase. I didn't feel any different. I could actually eat just as I had before. Didn't even feel like I had gotten any fill. Monday night I began to feel like I had heartburn. It was subtle, but now it seems to be almost constant- to the point that it kept me awake most of last night. Also can't keep very much down..... is this a sign I'm too tight? Should I be alarmed? :confused2:

Melissa, I'm with you on the weight goal question. I think I'm going to just concentrate on what size I want to get down to, and not worry so much on the weight. I've noticed the same thing- that my size 14 now is heavier than it was years ago when I was this size. Not so sure why it works like that- but I'll take the size.

This was a big one for me. Had to renew my driver's license and they wanted to know if all the information was still correct. My weight is accurate! After nearly 15 years, I finally have gotten down to the correct weight on the license.

Hi wildbutterfly, I can't really help you too much, but before I had my surgery I went to the website healthgrades.com It's a great site where, for a small fee, you can get a "report card" on the doctor you intend to use. It will tell you if they have been sued for malpractice, any issues with their license, etc. I found it really helpful. Used it for my band dr as well as my PS, and was super satisfied with both.

Hi Angelface, I think we talked a bit before in discussing Dr Oliak. I am not a housewife, but I work in OC- Tustin. I'd love to talk to you and discuss any lapband questions that I can answer, based on my experience. I was banded last year by an Oliak colleage- Dr Liu. Good luck on your bandster journey!
