im 7 days out, and feel like hell,,

I was that way for 2 weeks. Turns out the doctors forgot to prescribe prilosec/nexium. You need to take antacid once a day for 6 months to regulate stomach acids
  2. Do a liquid diet for two weeks, ironically cleaning yourself out will help your enery and mood as well as shave a few lbs and get u back on track

    What's Your Favorite....

My magic bullet has been a godsend. It is so easy to make protien shakes without he hassle. I am 3.5 weeks post surgery and drinking shakes 3 times a day is bad enough without having to clean a blender

    Bummed At People's Reactions

The funny thing you can tell friends is that in my case i started at 365, the through diet got down to 215 only to shoot up to 325 then down to 190 then up to 325 then down to 220 then up to 300 before i said enough is enough. While a few friends wished i didnt need the surgery they understood from seeing me yoyo that it is hard to control. I actually dont care how much i loose i just am hoping the sleeve will help me to get back on track quicker when i fall off the wagon so to speak. That plus never wanting to go through this again is a big motivator. Tell your friends to go on a liquid diet for two weeks. At the end of the two weeks they will understand what it feels like to desire certain foods
  5. Hi. I had my surgery Aug 8th and i thought i felt the same way about being hungry. Turns out i am really just bored. 46 years of food being equated to entertainment isnt easy to change. I am trying to find things o keep me occupied, or else, i start thinking about food. I realize i am not physically hungry but mentally i want to eat. If anyone knows any good tips to prvent this i would love to hear them

    The Big Day

Ok so the surgery went as expected. Nothing unusual to report. Salem hospital staff were very good, didnt have pain much, just some bloating and nausea that lasted only a few minutes.i had to stay an extra night as i could not pass gas which is a release criteria. I eventually did. I am home now with a drainage tube (JP Tube).
