Kaninag - Thanks for the validation. I'm not saying that I know as much - or at least the same stuff - as an RN. I mean, RNs went to school for a year (or more, depending on the degree) longer than LPNs, but I do know my job. I staill took Anatomy and Physiology, and all those other classes. Basically where they skimp on the LPNs is in OB/Peds... which is fine, cause I don't like parents. Lol. ANYWAY... just frustrating for us. I've been at this hospital for over 4 years now and I love it - I love 99% of the people I work with. Who can say that? Ha! I'd hate to leave, but if they do push us into the medication position, I will leave. I am a NURSE.

Is this a compliment?? OK, I work in a hospital.. fairly good sized, but still small enough that you pretty much know everyone. So, one of the Respiratory Therapist has been gone on Vacation for like a month. (seriously, I need a MONTH long vacay!) And he says to one of the CNAs "Did Suzanne have gastric bypass or something? She looks good." Now, if you'll remember, my surgery is totally on the 'down low' meaning ONLY a few friends know... so NO one at work knows. The CNA told me this and I about fell over! First off, I don't think I look like I had bypass... I'd have lost damn near every pound by now, Lol! I just kinda laughed it off... Would you consider it as a compliment though? Just as that he was noticing my weightloss? I dunno. I'm still VERY uncomfortable with anyone commenting on my loss so far... probably just cause I'm still freaking huge.

YES! After seeing Puddin's pics on the before/after thread I'm totally going for the LBL! (lower body lift) She started at a size 28 (Like me!) and is now a 6!! YOu too huh?? Lots of changes at my work and I'm having sooo much trouble coping cause, as a Taurus, I don't adjust well to change!! OMG. So, Food Hell isn;t just in Kansas City this week huh?? Everyfuckingwhere I turn this week someone else has brought in cookies or candies or cake or donuts. I live in flour/sugar hell. Have any of you heard of or read the book Skinny Bitch? ...let me rant about my job briefly... So, I am an LPN. I work on an Oncology floor. I accept my state mandated limitations such as LPNs cannot hang chemo, blood products, or push IV medications. But we can do dang near everything else. However... The hospital I work for has recently decided that they are going for Magnet status - which means they have alot of work to do. Now, if you don't know much about LPNs... I spent 1 1/2 years in nursing school, learning head to toe assessment and all the other nursing goodies... disease processes, drugs, IVs, etc... So, now that the hospital is going after Magnet - they have decided to have the LPNs become merely medication nurses.. I'm so furious about this! I did not go to nursing school to just pass out pills everyday - I did that in my previous job when I was a *gasp* MED TECH! Ugh. The RNs are mad about it too,m cause with Magnet comes more 'paperwork' for them (though we are fully computerized hospital.) Oh sigh... Soooo glad that I should have my RN by the end of 2008!! I am so going to leave this hospital and go somewhere else! End rant.

Insub - GOOD FOR YOU!!! We're all rooting for ya chica!! Unfortunately, the problem with my job is that I'm a bit too vocal. Lol. Mu mouth gets me into so much trouble. If I disagree with something that my manager is doing, I have to let her, and everyone else know how stupid she is. Ugh... Lots'o crap going on in my hospital right now too... it's annoying...

The hardest part about going to the gym is walking through the door. Once I get in there I am totally into it! (Though I will admit I have been a TOTAL slacker since Thanksgiving - I've only been about 1-2 times a week! Eeeek!!)

BigBaby!! Thats amazing!! a size 16!! I'm so jealous!! I ate some beef jerky last night! I was amazed that it went down so easily... as long as I took small bites and chewed well! Its a good source of protein, so I think I'll start eating more of it!

Umm, Janine... I see no pics?!?! ANd yes all... I failed today! I spent over $800 and 9 hours getting my oil changed, car inspection, paying personal property taxes, getting car licensed for another 2 years, and going Christmas shopping. NOw I'm BEAT and eating 1 cup of Peanut Butter cup chocolate ice cream. Ugh. I WILL DO PICS THIS WEEKEND AT THE LATEST!!!!!!!!!!

Ya know... (being a bit selfish here...) May would work great for me, cause I usually go with a co-worker and her family during that time... Lol. My birthday is in May, so I just use that as my birthday present to myself... ANYONE else willing to go in May?? I dn't know the dats yet, but we usually fly out on a Wed and back on Sat... Thanks for the BUMP on this one Dan! I'm not sure what anyone is doing!!! I haven't had a chance to do any searching about finding a place to stay or anything. Dan, I think you are on the strictest schedule for work, so why don't YOU choose dates, and we'll vote that way?? Hell, at this rate it may just be a few of us anyway... seems like so many have dropped out of it...

MISSY - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! That is amazing!! FARMER - OMG! You go girl! Today was my 6 monthsanniversary... and it was also my moms College graduation! My mom, at the age of 50, is finally a college graduate! I'm so proud I could spit! Lol. She got her Associates of Applied Science, all she has to do is sit for her boards and she'll be an RN. I can't beleive she's passed me up in the Nursing department, Lol, but I'm so happy for her. She's wanted this for a long long time, but has put it off to make sure she was always there for us kids. :huggie: OK, so I wil try to get some new pics taken tomorrow...
