  1. Congratulations!!! Amazing job!!
  2. LOL I hear ya! I will for sure make a list of daily struggles. Thanks for the suggestion!
  3. Thanks.. I need to be better about taking my medicine. Sometimes I think I am in denial about needing it. I am terrible about remembering to take it daily.
  4. Thank you for the ideas. I really appreciate it!
  5. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's and Thyroid cancer and had my thyroid removed in April 2010. I am wondering if this will have any effect when I have my sleeve procedure done..
  6. How fun! Talk about incentive to be in the best shape possible!
  7. I am filling out paperwork for my Surgeon's office and I have almost completed the Weight Management History portion that has to be submitted to my Insurance company. They stress filling it out in detail, which I understand. I have come to the essay portion that asks me to " describe the limitations ( physical, emotional, employment) morbid obesity imposes on you in your daily activity." I am at a loss as to where to start. I am afraid they will not see my limitations as reasons for surgery. It feels like a test... LOL. I hate tests. I am afraid of writing the "wrong" thing. has anyone else had to do this, and if so could you give me a little advice? Thanks!
  8. I am unsure who to use. I just started by going to my PA. I initially saw a different surgeon, but the hospital was not yet certified as a " Center Of Excellence" so I am regrouping and trying a different surgeon. I will make sure my PA documents my progress the same as the example you gave me until I can see about seeing the nutritionist at the surgeons office. Thanks so much!
  9. I am just starting my attempt to get approved through PCIP. Can you give me any advice? They are not clear about what documentation they need for the 6 month diet and exercise. Any advice or guidance would be appreciated. I put a call into their Bariatric Surgery coordinator? I just need to know where to start and what they need. Thanks!
