I was told by my doctor that they have been very close in weight loss. The sleeve was done in the past as the first step and not a stand alone procedure But, found people lost enough weight that the second was not needed. I was approve for the RYN than changed to the sleeve.I will be sleeved Aug 6. I was told by my doctor that with any procedure a person can gain the weight back. This is a tool to help weight loss and the diet needs to be followed to suceed. Good Luck

Stay positive, I know what you are feeling. My pre-op July 23 sleeve on Aug 6.Before everyone knows it the holidays will be here and cold in the north. We will all look back at our sleeve date and say it was worth it !!!!!!!!! Good Luck my thoughts are with you.

I did alot of research on the web and then ? my Doctor. I started first consult on April 11 2011. Sleeve will be Aug. 6 2012 will start pre op diet (clear liquid) July 23. I am an engineer so I had alot of ? about all the bypass options. I also learn so much from this blog. I am a 6.5 ex-football player with blown knees. Good Luck

Hi Aug 6, Indiana. Started first Doctors visit April 11, 2011. Insurance took 7 months.
