  1. Thanks to another poster on this site I ordered puréed foods from a place called Blossom Foods (blossomfoods.com). They ship puréed food right to you frozen and the portions are perfect Especially, the individual items. The complete meals with protein, startch and vegetable are a little too much for one sitting for me at this point but you can always reheat it and make a couple of meals out of it. I particular like the chicken enchiladas and the eggs with ham but everything I have tried is really good and it only takes two minutes in the microwave.
  2. Thanks a lot for the tip about Blossom Foods. They sound great! I start on the puréed phase Wednesday so I just ordered a bunch to get me through.
  3. Well it is now official I was sleeved this morning at 7:30. All things considered I'm feeling really good. Everyone is right about the walking it really does help. When I first woke up I had more discomfort than I expected but it was mostly from the trapped air in the upper abdominal area. The incisions actually don't hurt too bad but off course I am still on pain meds but only half a dose every 4 hours. I also had a hiatal hernia repair and it sounds like a lot of the tightness/soreness is related to that. Thank you everyone for your prayers, kind thoughts and well wishes. I've learned a lot of valuable information from all of you that is going to make this journey so much more enlightened and rewarding.
  4. Good luck to everyone having surgery soon. You're all in my thoughts and prayers.
  5. I'm scheduled for surgery on July 16th. I hope everyone that has had their surgery already is doing well. Thank you for all the information and encouragement. You are an inspiration to the rest of us.
  6. July 16th for me too. I hope all goes well for everyone.
