  1. Hello- I am about 7 weeks post op and the first three weeks were like being in a tornado. I had zero energy and was dizzy all the time. My surgeon suggested additional iron as I may have been anemic during that time. Let me tell you the day after my first iron supplement, I felt like a whole new person. PLEASE take the time to rest. It was extremely difficult for me with three kids, but I can't stress how important it is just to take it easy and rest rest rest. Things will be back to normal soon! Good luck!
  2. I'm now 236 and wear a 14 top and 18 bottom. When I started I was 271 and a size 20/22. You will be there before you know it! I'm 6 weeks post-op.
  3. Thanks everyone!!! I appreciate the support!!
  4. I'm 5 weeks post op. I lost the first 20 pounds in a week and a half and then nada! Got to see my doc last week and he was concerned. I had to ditch the cheese and get moving. Anyhow, has anyone ever felt like you will be the exception to the sleeve not working and were destined to be fat forever? Since Friday I've really planned my meals and ramping up my water. Keeping my calories at about 700 a day. please tell me there is more light coming soon!!!
  5. Me too! I will be 4 weeks post op on Tuesday and have stalled for two weeks and added two pounds! Talked to my surgeon yesterday and be asked me to log my food over the weekend and we will revisit it next week to see what's going on and where I should be. I lost 22# in 11 days and then nothing!!! I was in tears yesterday and swearing that was it and I'm not loosing anymore. My doc laughed and said ... No no don't you worry that- you will. It was reassuring. Good luck and keep us posted.

  7. Thank you for the support. I can't wait to kick this in the butt!
  8. I am 3.5 weeks post op. I lost 22# the first 11 days but have been the same weight plus a pound or two since then. Now I know all about the two week stall, but part of me is convinced that I done losing weight and will never loose anymore. Does anyone have any trucks to jump start the weight loss again and kick this stall? I'm very disheartened over this....

  10. Well ladies I guess the more we stress the more we hold on to it. Knowing we are all going through it is comforting. Let's all think positive thoughts and concentrate on the fat melting away..
  11. Sounds like we are on the same page!!! Good to know I'm not alone. I'm looking forward to getting back to work Monday and away from food in the house and stupid food commercials!
  12. Day 17- lost 22#, but have weighed the same for 7 days. Saw my surgeon yesterday and said I've just reached a plateau and it's expected. Can't wait to bust past this number! I was thrilled when he gave me the ok for my skinny vanilla latte! I feel like I got a small portion of myself back. Anyone else around the same post op days and experiencing the stall?
  13. Thank you everyone! Yes I just don't see it happening! I went to the store yesterday and had to sit on the bench for awhile before I could even go in! I am going to let them know tomorrow and have my dr fax over an extension. I feel like I'm playing hooky but I suppose I never took care of myself properly and that's why I got here in the first place. A few people at work do know and I'm afraid I someone said something to someone else. I guess it's best not to lie and just say its personal. I'm not required to tell-- so I really shouldn't care- right?!?!
  14. I was sleeved on 6/12 and due to go back to work next Monday. I have no idea how when I can hardly take a shower and drink a shake. I'm thinking of extending my leave for another week. Thing is I didn't explain my surgery when I left and I work at a hospital. How do I call and say I have no energy without explaining the reason? Thoughts? FYI I feel guilty because work is so hectic....
  15. Omg I was sleeved on the 12th and can only take a shower... Everything wipes me out! I have zero energy. I feel like my personality and life has been sucked from me! I try sipping water and drinking protien, but just can't seem to get any energy or be happy for that matter. I am hoping this will pass for us quickly! Stay strong!

  18. I was sleeved on the 12th and have a difficult time getting the water in. I was close to passing out at the store yesterday while shopping for fathers day. I don't know about anyone else but I already don't want to see another Popsicle or drink broth! I am ready to chew something!
