I am going for my 3rd fill already! The first 2 didnt do anything! The only thing I feel is if I do not chew enough food gets stuck and slowly goes down. It hurts and I get a lil light headed like Im gonna pass out(is this normal?). But it clears up and I am fine. Still fat-- and fine. Im getting discouraged. I want it to happen so bad! I have a 10 cc band and think I am only at 3 cc!

i got my first fill on wed and feel nothing! Stinks, I was so looking forward to restriction. I called and I made a sooner appt for another fill for next fri. (my b-day) That will b a great present if I get restriction!! I hope it works!!

u have lost 48 lbs so far..do not lose hope!!

I had surgery on dec 18th and I have slowly graduated to real foods. I have had chili, mash potatoes, and just soft foods. Im starvin! I cant wait till my first fill!!

my port is soo painful! It is still swollen, dr said it is normal bc it is sewn extra good to the muscle. Yuck!

heating pad was great for the gas, i took the gas X strip but it actually was a lil painful going down. Gas oains went away after day 9. hang in there!!

Im 1 week out and 4 xmas dinner had mash potatoes 2 x's! OMG i feel so guilty. I also had some baileys irish creme! I kno its bad for the calories but it all went down fine. i stopped when full. OMGosh-nnew years is comming now! we r italian- allwe do it eat- hence my problem for the currennt weight annd surgery-lol. anyone else eat at 1 week?

im 37, marriied female, 2 kids, from marlton, nj was banded dec 18th, still in pain going bac to work tommorrow. yuck

I have been diagnosed abt 2 yrs now w Celiac Disease which is a gluten intolerance. I was wondering if anyone out there has also been banded with this disease? I know of only 1 other person! My dr never did surgery of any kind on any patient with this disease so I was just worried. If there is anyone out there please let me know- thanks!! HAppy Holidays!!:help:

I am newly banded- still in pain and I would do it again because I know this tool is going to work for me. I wont let it fail!

My husbands co is switching to Aetna in Jan and I am so happy I had surgery already bc I hear they are horrible. Im nervous abt how they will b bc I need fills still- but anyway- at least I got my surgery before the switch- Im happy. I feel sorry for anyone who has to go thru aetna. But hang in there and keep fighting!!

I agree heating pad has been my best friend!!

I was nervous but came through ok. My lips had a lil bruise, throat was sore, belly sore, but Im ok.Im actually starvin! I am tired of liquids! I ate some mash potatoes and I m fine! I actually had a lil diet coke- I forgot I couldnt have any! And was ok. My only problem was last nite- I was watching tv w my husband and at one point began laughing so hard I was crying from the pain, but I could not stop laughing and the more I laughed he laughed and I cryed! Now it is funny but I was in sooo much pain- it actually still hurts! I said to him- this will be funny- but not right now. I made him shut off the tv and we went to bad. Damn funny tv-lol!:eek:

Its done!! Everything was AOK! I had surgery on Tuesday, everyday I feel a lil better!! My port site hurts, expected. Im excited!!

dec 18th is my day! Im seeing the dr on fri for sure. I hope so, Im on the liquid diet for 2 weeks now! i lost 18 lbs i hope he does it!

hello, i live in marlton nj and I am going to temple hospital to have it done. Dr Meihlan there has had great experience- I believe experience is important. I do not know of ur dr. but then again I did not investigate any drs in nj. Hope that helps.
