NO, they won't give me a date until they submit to insurance and they haven't submitted yet!!

I'm more frustrated now. It's been a week since everythin was completed and the insurance company says that they haven't received anything yet. I guess it was telling when in the office they told me that hopefully I'll be able to get my surgery sometime this summer. I did everything quickly so I could be scheduled as soon as my insurance was submitted and approved. I guess its all a waiting game now.

I've finished everything required for the surgery request to be sent to insurance plus all pre-op testing. How long before your Dr.s office submitted the request to insurance? I get get anyone in the office to tell me.

I have only told one person at work. a good friend. I haven't told my aide (I feel a little bad about that) she and I have been dieting for almost 5 years together, but I'm afraid she wouldn't be supportive because she's so consevative about many things. I'll probably tell one other friend at work, but that will be all. No one else needs to know. I won't lie if directly asked but I won't offer any info. I hope to have my surgeryin late June or July but am waiting for the Dr.s office to submit to insurance. Not sure what their waiting for. I would like to get a handle on drinking and eating before school starts in late August.

ANYONE KNOW ABOUT EMPIRE BCBS?

At my consultation appointment(21/2 weeks ago) my Dr. put me on a Ketosis diet(very high protein, very low carb). I have lost 15 lbs. (usually a good thing) but it has put my BMI just below what is required by my insurance company for surgery approval. I'd hate to gain back some weight to qualify. Any suggestions on what to do? P.S. I have no comorbidities.
