  1. I am in Elgin and will be sleeved in May at Alexian Brothers
  2. Anyone know where you get the passwords for the VST special forums rooms?
  3. This is what I have to buy exactly. So I will look for it in the store today.
  4. Thanks everyone for your suggestions. This practice is the premier center of excellence office near my house through Alexian Brothers. My PCP doctor felt that a place like this will give me A+ service. It is nice to have a doctor advocate. I think why they shove Bariactric Advantage down your throat, is that we have no clue what to buy. So it is busy person proof. I do see their point, I have no clue what to buy. I am glad to have people like you around to guide me. I will do some research on the vitamins. The protein shakes suggestions from the other thread are perfect.
  5. My doctor in Illinois required me to pay $136 for two bags of Bariactric Advantage shake mix. $102 went to the shake mixes and then $34 for a program fee. Then they want me to buy a 90-day supply of Vitamins at $140 per package from Bariactric Advantage. I need soap, listerine, cleasner and some other stuff. So help me out what do I need and not need? Also, are there cheaper alternatives? I read the "Protein shakes the good, the bad the ugly", so I am getting suggestions for Protein Shakes. I am not looking to going broke over shakes and vitamins. I do not buy name brand for most stuff.
  6. HI post-opers. I am 23 days out. I will be picking up my 15 day per-op diet. What should I stock my house with for after the surgery? My wife has to work, so I will be alone during the work week. Secondly, I would like to hear the ideal diet plans of what you eat to lose over 100-150 pounds for a busy person. I know a bunch of people who have had gastric bypass, but some have not lost more than 50-80 pounds or they lost a ton of weight and gained it back. I am not looking to be Al Rocker. I want to lose my weight and keep it off! Otherwise, Atkins has been my Yo-yo. Basically, how can I follow a fool proof plan to being successful for life. My life is busy and I forget to eat Breakfast and sometimes, lunch and then I am starving and i eat the world. Plus, I am a closet fast food car eater. So I have some adjusting, but I have to change. I just wish there was a fool proof plan for a busy person. Thirdly, how much time should I take off of work? I can make my schedule, so I sit behind a desk all day, instead of training. Thanks for all your help. I really need some guidance.
  7. I am in Chicagoland, Illinois and I should be sleeved on May 18 or 21.
  8. My surgery is scheduled for May 18 or 21 and I will have to start my diet on May 3. I am trying to prepare myself for the surgery diet by trying to go to a liquid diet, but I keep failing. Any suggestions on how you guys started? What did you eat?
