justforme1 got a reaction from Isabel1246 in Re-sleeveI had my sleeve done in April of 2012. Had decent success until 2018 when I gained ALL of the weight back. I am now 2 weeks away from getting a re-sleeve. It is with a differnt surgeon this time due to the fact my original surgeon won't do it. I am very nervous. I worry about the actual surgery. Mostly because I already have staples & such I expect it to be more difficult.
I know there isn't too much on this forum about getting a re-sleeve but I was wondering if anyone has had any personal experiences with this. Wondering if it will be as successful as the 1st was oringally.
NOTE: I have made the personal decision not to have the bypass as an alternative. My doctor says that it is the usual revisionj choice but I am even more scared of that surgery!

justforme1 reacted to Forensikchic in Re-sleeveI had a sleeve in 2011. I had an Endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty revision two weeks ago because I gained 45 of the 100 I lost back and was struggling with my sleeve. It was stretched a bit and I was eating too many carbs. I had to do something. So far I am on full liquids and its going well. Its like a resleeve but they do it from the inside with sutures so Its not as invasive. Easy recovery. I had some gas pains but they were not that bad. By day three I was doing really good. I had it on a Thursday and went back to work Monday.

justforme1 got a reaction from Ms. Lisa Ricks in Re-sleeveLee anne,
I had the same issue. It was not done right the 1st time. I am 1 week post re-sleeve. So far it has been a hugely different experience. I was up, moving and home in less than 24 hours! The 1st time I was in the hospital 3 days vomiting blood and very nauseous. I feel great now!
I understand that since my stomach was not as large this time, my weight loss may be slower or less but so far I am down 6lbs in 1 week. I'll take that!

justforme1 got a reaction from Merill in Re-sleeveI had it done here in Massachusetts. I was only given Tylenol in the hospital. I have been taking children's liquid Tylenol for the last few days. It's really all I have needed. I was lucky-I did not have any gas pains after. I do know some people do get it pretty severe though.
The only medications I was taking before were for acid reflux. I continuously took those and I am still taking them. The doctor hopes to have me off of them all together within 3 months.
I wish you all the luck & pleae let me know how it goes!

justforme1 reacted to Elenita in Re-sleeveI used to follow on YouTube a lady who was sleeved a number of years ago and then she was re-sleeved recently. She was very active on YouTube during her first surgery experience and then posted a few videos after her second surgery. She hasn’t posted a video in a long time. The name of her channel is Kellawanda.
