  1. Maybe once you get to the clinic they will provide you something to take before surgery. It is normal to be a little nervous. Maybe after you get to the clinic you will relax a little Good luck and keep us posted on your recovery.
  2. Sending you well wishes. Keep us posted on your recovery.
  3. I agree, to put your mind at ease I would request a leak test. If the leak test come back negative then you may have a minor lung infection. But a leak has to be ruled out. Take care.
  4. That's amazing... 11 lbs in less then a week !!!! Keep on doing what you are doing.
  5. Thank you for the welcome !!! I like your saying" This is something I did for ME, and I am SO glad I did. Doing the SAME thing over and over again and expecting Different results is the definition of Insanity. I FINALLY did something DIFFERENT and I did it for ME! " I might have to borrow it sometimes
  6. April is just around the corner. If you have any questions ask me and hopefully I can answer them. I know you will love Dr. Garcia.

  10. Same for me. I was sleeved 3 days ago and when I sip, I get the same discomfort, minor pain when it hits the top of my stomach and again when it hits the bottom. I hope it stops soon. Are at least before I return to work in 3 weeks.
  11. Hi, I had my VSG a few days ago 2/23 in Tijuana Mexico with Dr. Garcia. I spent 2 nights in the hospital and 2 nights at the Marriott Hotel and so far so good. My stomach feels like I over did it with stomach crunches. So I take my pain meds every 4 to 6 hours. When I got out the hospital yesterday, it hurt when ever i took a sip of liquid. I could feel it as soon as it hit the top of my stomach and I could feel when it hit rock bottom. It only hurts for a second. Today I dont feel it going down like yesterday. So Im going to try to get more fluids in today. Im not thinking about solid food at this point. Just want to get fluids and broth down. No vomiting, thank goodness for that. I have been walking and resting. I will take a shower and change my bandages in a little bit and venture downstairs and mingle with the other guest.Take care everyone.
  12. Thank you all for your well wishes. This morning Saturday I left the hospital and I am now at the Marriott. The hotel is beautiful. The chicken broth is pretty tasty. Im feeling good for just having major surgery, The drain did not hurt when it was removed. That was a huge relief. I was just waiting to scream out and carry on. The coordinators give you a send off bag with gatorade, water, chap stick, glycerin swabs, antibiotics, spirometer and something for acid reflux and bandages. I really enjoyed having Dr, Garcia as my surgeon. For the 2 days I was there, he checked on me 3 or 4 times. And his Dr. assistant and internist were wonderful. The anathesologist (sp) was also great. I would use him again.
  13. Hi, I arrived yesterday morning at 7:00 at Mi Doctor. Met ADNKEL30 and she was just walking around like nothing. I had to ask her if she had surgery? Yes she had the day before. All did all of my pre op testing. I meet with Dr. Garcia around noon. He told me about the procedure and answered all of my questions. I then meet the anethesiolgist (sp) He answer all of my questions and told me all what to expect, I was wheeled into the ER, and next thing I knew I was back in my room. I felt a little pain which was knocked out quickly with some pain meds. I went back to sleep and about midnight I was up walking. This morning, no pain, just soreness were the drain is at and my reflux is acting up. They gave me some anticids and I back to new. I think I have my drain test later this afternoon. MY battery is low. so I better sign off and charge it up,
