Well they told the insurance company that I will be admitted on 6/28 and discharged on 6/29 so IDK what they are pushing for i will see tomorrow.

Dont have a date yet will get it tomorrow. The nurse left sick today so she was not there to schedule me.

Hello my fellow sleevers, I HAVE BEEN APPROVED!!!!!! Waiting on the doctor's office to call back with the date just left a message. Hopefully I will be joining the loosers bench at the end of the month!!!!!

Well I just spoke to Cigna and they said that my paperwork is with the Medical Director for final approval and should have an answer in 24-48 hours, so Monday or Tuesday!!!!

Waiting, Waiting, Waiting!!!!!

Go on my Cigna.com and search for bariatric requirements and it is there.

Question for all my fellow sleevers, is it too much to be calling the insurance company twice a day once in the morning and once in the late afternoon?

Well friends Im still waiting. I called the insurance company today and they said that they have finished with the medical benefits part of the review and now they are reviewing the medical necissity part of the review. I just wanna scream, I know I am very impatient.

Just spoke with Cigna again and they have all that they need and they said that they should have an answer by Thursday!!!

I called the number on the back of my card then they gave me this number, 800-558-3644. I called them this morning and they told me that they were waiting on clinical notes from my doctor and then it would take 3-5 business days for a decision so I am going to call everyday.

My doctor's office submitted my paperwork to Cigna on Friday morning. I called and they confirmed that they have received the paperwork. Anyone with Cigna OAP can give me some info on how long it took for approval. Im just nervous and ready to get rolling with my surgery.

Well depending you your insurance requirements. When I first started my journey CIGNA they required a 6 month medically supervised diet and at month 5 1/2 they changed their policy and only required 3 months and my 6 month visit would have been on June 1st and that is when they filed with the insurance. So from start to filing exactly 6 months.

Welcome!! I have also just finished all requirements for my insurance as well and the doctor has submitted to my insurance company for approval on friday. What insurance do you have? I have CIGNA.

No surgery yet just required diet by the insurance company

UPDATE!!!! Spoke with CIGNA this afternoon and they stated that they have received the paperwork for my surgery and that the doctor's office stated that they would like to perform the surgery on 6/28 so it looks like I may be a June Sleever!!!! Ready to join all my friends on the loosers bench
